With only two days of daily holiday deals left, it looks like Microsoft decided to make today's a doozy. Like the headline says, today's deal is Castle Crashers for a mere 560

. That's sevenearth dollars and, more importantly, a substantial savings over the usual 1200

($15) price tag. If you haven't experienced the co-op glory, now is the time. Trust us, people like this game. They like it so much that they build costumes of their favorite characters.

If you don't have it yet, you need that kind of joy in your life.

Finally a deal worthwhile.

I did pick up Monkey Island and the Maw

I can't say that the game is MEDIOCRE...

But is it ungodly repetitive? Yes. Now, I've enjoyed a couple games of it with friends but... This is just not as fun as it should be. It's EXTREMELY repetitive... Like Dynasty Warriors repetitive.

And it makes me regret the purchase back when it was a full fifteen dollars.

It's definitely not a horrible game but... I can't stand it.

Mediocre game, but you really can't beat the deal. If I still had my 360, I'd probably get it for the only redeeming feature of it: Bi-polar Bear.

Mediocre game? I feel like you are just trying to start an argument with that statement. This is still one of the best XBLA games out there imo.

This deal will likely only garner attention from Gamerscore whore's and retards (much like the fools who downvoted the above fella for pointing out this games mediocracy).

This is the best time to buy Castle Crashers; it's cheap and fun, and you won't hate it for having insane network glitches that early buyers had.

Indeed it is $7. Never understood why people use a converter site though. 80 points = $1 dollar. Granted, I did just fail to do the math correctly, so maybe I shouldn't be talking...

It may be that simple in the US, but in the UK, £1 = 118.65msp. It's close enough to 120 to make a rough estimate but elsewhere may not be so lucky. In Europe €1 = 86msp and in Canada $1 = 62.54msp

Sorry to double post, but I now finally understand why things are sold for 560msp - it's exactly $7US. For us brits its a rather arbitrary seeming £4.76. Not such a nice conversion is it?

Buy it peeps, you won't be disappointed. It's a lot of fun in co-op mode when you have 3 of your friends playing with you.

Its even more fun on the couch together.

Sold! Finally! I really wanted to buy it but couldn't force myself. I rarely buy 1200 games.

MS seems to be getting alot better with offering deals I never thought they'd discount anything >%50. Too bad I bought this for $15 a week ago and wasn't really a fan of the game.

I just spent my last 800 on this today. It had better be worth it...

Earth dollars? Since when did the US dollar become the planetary funds for the earth?

1. US Dollar is the worlds reserve currency.
2. Microsoft is an American company.
3. Joystiq is an American site, owned by an American company.

WINterfang thats not entirely true, the US currency only took over during the fall of Rome. I think that's what the history books say.

If you liked the game, be sure to also get the King pack DLC.

Or get both the king and necro DLC.

@WINterfang - I think they just add more playable characters to the game. I haven't scratched the surface with the included playable characters, so I didn't see a reason to spend money on additional characters that I might not get to.

This post has helped me to learn to read before I react. I saw the pic of Castle Crashers and thought they were announcing the date of the PSN port. But after reading it I became sad and now I revert to binge eating...all I can quaff...

God forbid someone doesn't like a game everyone else considers "popular".

I played it with numerous friends who love it but I just couldn't enjoy it.
That is a good deal though

Maybe for 400 but pass.... These "deals" have been really crappy.

I agree....2 of the days were rentals for movies. I would have rather had marked down prices to OWN the movie...not watch it for 24 hours at a discount.

you're crazy. thats more than 50% off, this is the best deal you'll find on xbla. Except for Avatar Drop at 80 points. Usually those licensed-games are really overpriced...
