Wasn't potential online storage mentioned in that for-pay PSN list?

I wish microsoft would let me save to the cloud. It would require a very robust management system though.

Yup. I would love that. Upload my RB2 game save on my 20GB and pull it down onto my Slim. Then my universe would be in perfect harmony again.

It would be interesting to know where they are going with this. All Sony devices will be internet ready by the sounds of it and all connected to the PSCloud which you can then cloud surf ??

Have sony got around to defining what the "cloud" is yet? No one else has (or technically they have but we've ended up with 3 different definitions from Apply, MS and Google).

The cloud is just another web 2.0 which is web 1.0 with a new name.

What they really need to do is save games like Torchlight, actual cloud, so when I play my PS1 classics on my PSP I can continue the game on PS3 without spending (what feels like forever) getting the PSP removing the memory card, putting it in the PS3, copying it, then putting it back in the PSP and putting the PSP away.

I guess it cool that they are thinking about the 1% of people who play the same games on different consoles that are too lazy to use a memory card.

Maybe they could use this as sort of an onlive type of thing in the future.

Cloud computing.

That would mean your computer would have kick-ass specs but also would be subject to fits of depression, memory corruption, and could easily be hacked by Sephiroth. I don't know if that's such a good idea.
