I wonder...could we install it and sell the disc?

You could with the Fallout DLC. This says it needs the original to run, which tells me that you're installing it...just a thought.

I'm not sure about selling it back, but it looks like the Shivering Isles type deal where you can add it to your friend's systems.

Let me try something.
Would you kindly leave Joystiq and go to Kotaku?

So, Bradwart...you log into different email addresses and have conversations with yourself? Someone spends too much time at their computer, methinks.

R055, you've clearly been tricked by Demo's clever ruse. I don't know if you were there for it, but a prominent troll accidentally revealed he was several people, Demo is taking advantage of that to make it look like he and bradwart are the same even though this time, they aren't

At first I was really confused as to why an expansion was coming out so soon, since I had just beaten the game, but now I'm super fucking excited! More Alistair! Yaaaaaaay!
I'm wondering how the story will work into all the endings... Now that I think about it, I don't remember which saves have which endings. Shit...

Why do I have to enter my age again? I wonder if the amount of people born Dec 1 1900 will ever tip these guys off.

Good to see Allistair playing a prominent role in this. It looks like it will be really damn good.

Most likely. Depending on how it is treated, could be a full set of trophies and 1000/1000 for the Xbox version.

the new DLC, return to ostagar, only added 25 gamerscore bringing it to 1125 out of a possible 1750, so that means they're saving a lot of achievements and of course i would assume trophies, so i think it's a safe bet that this expansion will have a whole lot of them, maybe not the maximum allowable cause im sure they want to do more dlc after this, but id guess itll bring us to at least 1250

This (so far) is being treated like a full retail release. It's not inconceivable to see another 1000 points added from the expansion.

if what it said about needing the original copy is true that makes it seem like an install, which to me would mean addition to the first game, and not have two 1000/1000 on one game

Hmm its a toss up. Since its on a Disc and it is retail then it may have a full set of trophies (excluding the Plat). But then again, it is only an expansion

Or, it could be being used in the honorific format...

Or, it could be because it's a line from the trailer.

Also I'm happy to see Alister! Hopefully they'll allow us to use our Origins Character. I heard somewhere it would be a new one. I couldn't imagine them making us use a new one... unless...we ummmm...made the wrong choice at the end lol
My character is still in one piece and I want to use her! If we have to use a new one I probably won't buy this...but I'm confident that Bioware will give us a choice!

Why would you watch previews to expansions/sequels before you finished the original game?

i think you should have been more careful. i havent even got this game yet and i knew better then to watch the trailer (i plan to get this eventually). thats like still playing through fallout 3 and reading about how broken steel changes the game (instead of just stopping at 'it changes the ending so you can keep playing')

So does this mean a GOTY edition is coming out soon?
Reply
Posted: Jan 5th 2010 4:18PM TheDarkWayne said
why the hell would it? Did fallout release the goty edition IMMEDIATELY after operation anchorage? No way, I'm sure there's going to be plenty more after this one, i'm even doubtful that they'll even make a goty edition, they stand to profit from that far less than having you purchase the regular game and all the dlc

Probably next Christmas time for the GOTY edition with all the DLC / expansions included.

Well, Dragon Age was supposedly 'done' in March, but EA wanted console ports, so that took up the rest of the time. If you factor that in, they've had a year to work on this.

That trailer was amazing. Probably one of the best that they've done, especially considering there was no Marilyn Manson anywhere to be found.
I'm thinking this will be the kind of scope that a Neverwinter Nights expansion had, so it will probably be worth the price.
