Ah well. I'd rather have something 100% complete and unbuggy than some rushjob.

Wouldn't your heart have also been crushed had you logged on to Steam first? Joystiq saved you the trouble of frantically scouring Steam for the DLC in the hopes that it was simply misplaced.

I think you owe Joystiq a cookie.

This is almost like Sega's delay of Alpha Protocol, except Bioware addressed the delay.

I still can't forgive Sega for dropping the ball SO BAD.

Yeah, we read about it during that Sega FTP leak and then alas the release data came and gone without a mention.

The DLC for PS3 was already postponed numb nuts. It wouldn't make much sense to all of a sudden say "golly gee lets just delay the 360 & PC version of the DLC because we already announced the PS3 DLC wouldn't arrive at the same time huh huh shucks!" Hopefully you aren't really THAT stupid. BTW, every version of this game is shitty on a technical level.

Ugh, more DLC for an already too-long game? I would have wanted to play through a second time to see some of the other content already in the game, but I can't spare another 50 hours of my life for that, let alone pay for additional DLC.

Too long? Seriously? Would you rather pay your $60 for an hour's worth of entertainment? Because I'm pretty sure there are a dozen software companies willing to comply with that.

I was sad when I completed this game. Not because I'm done with it, I'll certainly give it another playthrough... immediately. I just enjoyed the breadth of it so much that I hated to see it wrap up.

Apparently to many people have never played FFVII. NO DLC. COSTED RETAIL. Hours +++++++. I miss the days.... Wish these new guys didn't hang around so much. Wish games were completed when released actually.

Apparently, you've never played PC games in the 90's. Games have never been, and will never be truly done. There will be always bugs to fix, glitches that need sorting out, ect, ect. Almost every PC game in the 90's always came out with an expansion, sometimes even more than one. What DLC truly amounts to are small compact expansions that usually costs less than half the price (when done right anyway) giving gamers more frequent content for their games rather than just wait until a full expansion is done. Plus, its not like Dragon Age doesn't take hours upon hours to beat either (took me about 54 hours, give or take.)

What's wrong with extra content? You're telling me that if Square came out with some additional content for FFVII that they wouldn't sell a million copies in less than an hour? Get the fuck outta here...

Who exactly is going around forcing people to buy DLC?
If you don't want the additional content, don't buy it. I liked the main quest, but replaying the whole thing seems tedious, so I'll buy the new content.

I think that the delay is so they can wait, perfect the DLC so there won't be a bug fest like the Fallout 3 DLC that was released and then patched to Oblivion (har-har). I also believe that they may be holding off until the 'Awakening' expasion is released.

I remember a day when people could create stuff for other people based on FREE updates. LET'S Give these guys a chance to BLOW OUR MINDS(and $$) with some fraction of what they figure will compete on the levels of Unreal or Half-life. As a matter of fact i'm going to PAY (DLC! YEAH!) those guys for something someone else could have done,, sooner? ... more interesting?

(generic rambling about how the entire thing is a conspiracy to milk money out of people and how corporations are evil and how someone from EA is sitting here with a gun to my head forcing me to buy any Dragon Age content that creeps up on Live)

Instead, I think I'll buy it and enjoy it. I waste more than $5 on trivial things like soft drinks, etc.

well,i guess you have to read it, then probably know a bit of history. These guys want you to subscribe to live or whatever the stuff and just to get some update that we really wanted on our next game. but SOME CEO wanted you to pay some bucks, and we're paying it. So the problem comes in where you just want a good game without the LIVE. Well that's never going to happen. Sorry M8. There is a bigger picture out there. But you can subscribe to XBOXLIVE or another server and download it for money. They ARE willing to let you pay money for it. As a matter of fact they are willing to let you pay for part of your next game and some of the stuff later, of course, if your payments on time. We're talking monthly of course. Well, as long as you can keep buying games that aren't quite done, we'll catch up, I SEAR!

Bioware already set the standard low due to the lackluster effort to support Mass Effect 1 with DLC. As long as Dragon Age DLC isn't "pinnacle station'd" then I think things will be okay.

As long as it's not broken as f*** when it comes out, I don't care. I'm still pissed I lost my armor from Warden's Keep and that an expensive as hell mage staff DISAPPEARED off my character from one area to the next.

In all honesty I say screw this tiny DLC, make it part of the expansion, and make damn sure it doesn't make me want to throw my keyboard in occasional frustration.
