I have yet to see a mind-blowing Tetris mod.

Usually I hardly see a difference in these comparisons, but this is MUCH better

As cool as this is, give me back my Episode 1. I am NOT pulling out 2GB of RAM just to play one game.

I'm confused about your comment. Pulling out, as in you think you need to remove ram in order to play the game? Or you need more ram to play it than you currently have, in which case it would be beneficial to more than one game? I just don't get it. If you need more ram, then as Levi said, it's ridiculously cheap.

Episode 1 does not function on a 64bit OS computer with 4 GB's of RAM.

That's simply not true. I played through the entire Half Life series on my computer last month. I had 4gb of ram and had Vista 64-bit. (I've upgraded to 7 now)

A quick google search showed other people with problems, that were solved by adding "-32bit" to the launch options. Apparently the problem is caused by 64-bit extensions from improper 64-bit drivers, but running it in 32-bit mode solves the problem for most.

was gonna say, I played Ep1 and Ep2 on either 64bit Vista or 7, with 4gb DDR2, no issues. Ran beautifully on high settings on my laptop.

I think the purpose is more to show how the HL2 engine has evolved

Halo 1 should be given updated graphics like this, then sold on the marketplace with online multiplayer included.

@Inect

They added improvements to Halo 2 when they added BC to it on the 360.

As for online for halo 1, I guess that would be cool but most of the fanbase is so into 3, and Reach is launching soon, it would seem kind of pointless.

This looks great. But I'm more interested in Black Mesa, the Source engine recreation for the original, great Half Life. Please developers, quit your day jobs and finish it already.. :D

I can't wait for that. While Ep2 finally got me into the HL2 universe, I've always far preferred HL1, and BM:S looks like an incredible version of it. I'm also pumped because my friend who has only played HL2, never 1, will get to play it with graphics updated enough that they are enjoyable by today's standards. Game looks tiiiiiiits
