of course they are.....as stated before who else can they get to sale their Golf game? Not to mention his contract with EA wasn't tied to any "morality clause".....don't need morals to play golf.....its not like EA is doing like Accenture saying that "Like Tiger Woods, we have the highest standards and strive to be the best at everything we do"

I agree with everything you said, I just hoped this would have been incentive for EA to acquire the license to "Lee Caravallo's Putting Challenge."

EA will still be milking Maddens corpse 10 years after he's died from Turducken clogged arteries so sticking with a guy who just likes a lot of sex is nothing to them.

oh man, simpsons references for the win.

i love the simpsons and their take on video games. probably my favorite of all time was martin playing the "my dinner with andre" video game.

Andre: Thirsting for a way to name the unnameable, to express the
inexpressible?
Martin: [entranced] Tell me more!

haha, and one of the options he could have picked was "bon mot".

People need to get over it, it's not the biggest fuck up in the world. (Just ask some of those other dumb ass athletes that fucked up their lives.)

people make a BIG deal about infidelity, but it happens a LOT more than some may think.....thats why I'm not going to talk shit about the man for fucking up over and over.....he is human, he has groupies.....damn near the ONLY way he could avoid getting caught up would be for him to take his wife with him EVERYWHERE he goes...I and mean everywhere...OR he could become a recluse pull a Howard Hughes, never play golf again, or see anyone for fear of germs...

You're absolutely right. I really do not care what goes on in the private life of Tiger Woods or any other celebrity for that matter. That's not why I watch their movies/watch them play sports/etc. Sure it sucks that he cheated on his wife, but it has absolutely nothing to do with my enjoyment of playing his game (which is fun to play with friends), therefore I do not care.

I mean Tiger Woods would have had to do something really fucked up to make me care.

Fuck you Ryan Seacrest.

They certainly couldn't pair any other golfer with their franchise and expect it to carry the same weight with golf gamers, in my opinion.

Singh 2010

Mickleson 2010

Just not the same :P

thats not a stretch to say. I mean how many people are NOT going to buy a golfing game because Tigers name is on it, versus those that will NOT buy it because it simply says "PGA Tour 2011"....I for one never played a REALISTIC golf game that didn't have his name on it.....and honestly most likely never will

Good. I am glad they are not dumping Tiger. It's the man's personal business. So many people in life have affairs, but it's never a big deal to people until it's a celebrity or someone of equal social status. Sometimes people think with their genitals.

its funny. people seem to think Tiger was the only one cheating on his wife in the golf world. he's the only one that got caught. just like bill belicheck. he got caught cheating but he wasnt the only coach cheating in the nfl. like someone mentioned above. EA needs money and tiger woods pga sell rather well.

for some one whos not a black man he sure does black things. he becomes successful, marries a semi attractive white woman....and then cheats on said white woman with even less attractive white women....sounds like a black guy to me!! i just thought id throw that out there.

and get ur panties in a bunch people..im black

Of course they would say this now. They are only about half way through the cycle for the 2010 edition (it was released in June of 2009) and they want to keep selling that.

Let's see what happens when they get closer to the release of the 2011 edition. If the Woods story is still hot then, they may not want to face marketing Tiger Woods 2011. Of course, Woods might be able to turn the publicity around by then and EA won't have a problem.

Maybe they should internationalize it. Call it PGA 2011 or Golf 2011 or something, but in each country put one of that country's better golfers on the cover and as a lead avatar in the game.

Mark my words, Tiger's first tourney back/public appearance will be The Masters. Why? for one they control who goes in and out of those gates, so it would be less of a circus media wise.

So by the time 2011 releases the storm should have passed and Tiger probably will have 1 if not 2 or 3 majors won. Like someone else said above Tiger is their best bet to market the game, transgressions and all.

The only golf game that doesn't need a big time name attached is "Links". If MS brought this back with Natal, they would easily pick up those butt hurt from the Tiger dingaling slinging.

Who would have ever thought the fall of Tiger would have been this severe? From a minor car accident in front of his home to him diddlying at least 12 different girls from a local pancake waitress to Vegas call girls. crazy.

If this were any other sports celeb tho, almost no one would care....no one would be surprised. If this was about Kobe?? We'd all barely raise an eyebrow. Lebron? same thing. Arod? same thing.

But, because Tiger built up this almost perfect human perception over the last decade, it's a shocking event to the public. He also got too big for his britches (as my mom used to say).....he thought he could do this very publicly and get away with it, because he had so much power over the media.

he is getting what he deserves. He'll be back. But hopefully more wiser, and a little bit more humble.

EA should stick with him....this is a game totally about the golf course. Not a Tiger Woods franchise...if you know what I mean

Did he beat his wife? mother? sister? any girl around..( other than slapping fantasies..)

Nope...

So, why people still insist on making him the world's "Jerk" Symbol.. who's the people behind his sponsorship? The Mormons? something worst than that ( is there ? )? The US TV evangelic comunity $$$$?
