You get sponsors because, yes, you are great at what you do, but that goes hand-in-hand with being a likable public figure. A company is choosing you to be one of the public faces of their company. So it's completely understandable why a lot of sponsors have dropped Tiger after he has tarnished his public image. By tarnishing his own image he also put his sponsor's images at risk. And, BTW, you don't have to be religious to find adultery distasteful.

What do you have against Mormons? What gives you the right to insult them?

They should have dropped Tiger Woods, put an actual tiger on the cover, and called it Tiger in the Woods Golf. Would have saved bundles on licensing.

I support their decision. EA doesn't necessarily associate their games with great athletes. Heck, their most eponymously game, Madden NFL Football, is named after a by-and-large mediocre football player who is more well known for his mostly affable broadcasting career more so than his on-the-field accomplishments.

I agree he is well known as a TV personality, but he's also well known for his coaching career. He never played in the NFL due to an injury.

Tiger has probabably had the opportunity to cheat 10,000 times. If he only did 10-20 times, likely more but anyways, thats only a 0.1-0.2% cheat rate. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

You could say the same thing about how most murderers have only murdered a couple people out of the thousands upon thousands they have seen.

I for one was looking forward to the new drink-driving, sexting, and being beaten-up by a girl mini-games.

I'm disappointed EA. You're dead to me now.

"Regardless of what's happening in his personal life, and regardless of his decision to take a personal leave from the sport, Tiger Woods is still one of the greatest athletes in history."

By that logic, so is OJ Simpson.... I mean he may have murdered 2 people, and held up a sport collector at gunpoint, but even sitting in Jail, and being loated by the general public, he's still a great athlete! [/sarcasm]

Well, sir, thats different ..OJ Simpson was a "criminal", went out of the boundaries of his personal freedom, and took another's life.. That's a crime.

But what you do as professional is more important than your taste in food, movies or love life... to commit adultery is not a crime, is a common practice is to both inside the contract of marriage how to solve the issue..is not a crime. ( unless you are a woman living on a very very very strict Muslim community on middle east.. that could be death sentence, Yeeek!)

And against mormons? Was a joke.. but probably when a community is devoted to brain washing, gang bully and has a economic goal as n institution higher than the spiritual value their promote...yes, does look like they deserve some words ( without caffeine..) here and there.. Do I need to mention their underwear?
