I dismissed this title at first, but after seeing some youtube vids, I'm going to at least have to try the demo. Looks like it has potential.

This is one of those games that the controls will make or break this game. I hope the demo lives up to the hype because I really want something new to play.

Oh yeah and if this games does workout maybe Sega can get some pointers on how to make a real Iron Man Game.

Thats great news! I can't wait to try this game and see if my excitement for it is justified. Either way I'm pretty stoked for "Rocketteer" the game.

That was a damn funny video. Still, this game is like a good rocketeer video game ... I hope.

I haven't been interested much in this game so far, maybe a demo will create some interest. Honestly, I just have this feeling it'll be a 20 dollar game within a couple of months after release.

As opposed to having it out on the 360 and having it....pirated into oblivion.

F U sucka. They are both being torrented to hell. And saying a game shouldn't be on PC because of "piracy" is just hypocricy these days when 360 games are getting torrented and leaked like crazy.

I think multiplatform games should be for all 3 systems: 360, PS3 and PC. Each system has it's benefits. All the anti-PC trolls yell piracy every chance they get.

I used to be a PC-only guy, and now use both, but to even try and say PC and 360 piracy is anywhere near the same level is complete lunacy.

Sure, some 360 torrents get downloaded as much as some PC torrents, but it represents a much smaller percentage of the actual gamers out there since much more copies of the game are selling on the 360. If 200,000 copies of Mass Effect get pirated on the 360 but it sells 2 million on the 360, that's totally different than 200,000 copies of Mass Effect getting pirated on the PC and it selling only 200,000 on top of that.

It doesn't really take a brain surgeon to figure this out. PC gamers are more savy than 360 gamers, and pirating on the PC is much easier than on the 360 (which requires hardware mods, or flashes, stuff well beyond what your typical 360 owner that walked into Best Buy and picked up the console can do). It's a double whammy.

Vcize is correct. When you have PC piracy outselling the game at retail you have a big problem. Theres just no point in doing a PC game that doesn't have an additional revenue stream like subscriptions or micro transactions. Even though 360 piracy is on the rise you still have most people buying the games. Maybe its because on consoles usually hardware mods are required but on PCs all you need is a bit torrent client and an internet connection. Its not like these devs hate money and it isn't like it'd be a hard port ... I'm guessing the numbers don't work and its more than likely because of piracy.

Well, according to Wikipedia, Dark Void is also developed for PC: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Void

So why not throw in a demo for the PC users too? Obviously, Joystiq does not know Dark Void is coming for PC at all.

One thing I never understood is why so many PC devs don't release any demo at all. The PC is the most important platform because even if you know you want the game and are gonna love it, you need to see if/how it will run on your rig before you buy it. Minimum requirements are dodgy and it's important to see for yourself before dropping $50 on a game you can't resell.

could be decent, after all it was delayed a few months because of MW2.

Thinking about it, MW2 could end up being the best thing that happened to this industry in a while...by allowing a bunch of other developers to polish their games for a few extra months.

...although the story still looks bad

The irony here is you should be ashamed for being such an asshole, troll and all around douche. Maybe if you weren't such a complete dick about everything and to everyone all the time then he wouldn't of added your name to his troll directory website. You deserve to be on that website and your comments are so hilarously stupid that you even deserve your own page on a troll website. You can show all your friends how famous you are for being a prick online.

"The more people who will find out that it sucks, the better."

WTF man did you go to the Tmac school for trolls? You must have failed those classes because your DOING IT WRONG. Let me clue you into something: they are releasing a demo so people can decide for themselves. People don't care about your opinion on a game that hasn't released and that you haven't played especially not enough to sway their purchasing decision.

Here's a hint: explain what it is about the game that makes it shit. Back up your opinion with some meat and potatoes instead of fragmented chatter. I can understand not being interested but saying it sucks outright and that no one should buy it? Thats Tmac trolling at its worst. You'll never be Tmac and you'll never replace him ... Even me calling that Tmac trolling is an insult to Tmac.

Joystiq, I wish you guys would leave the original post up when you ban people. There is so much trolling in this site that goes by undetected, but when someone crosses the line and is banned, there's no evidence of it afterwards. So the readers continue to not know where "the line" is, and continue to cross it without knowing. Keep the post up and then add "This user was banned for this post" and people will know what kind of shit they aren't allowed to say, and the community will benefit from it.

Where's the mention that because of said demo and game (which imo, looks pretty average) that dead rising 2 has been moved to at least April 2010 if not afterwards?

Oh, thats right, we missed that release that 3 of their major titles have been postponed.

Yes. The demo was very, very disappointing. The enemies were sluggish, and those weird black alien things were so annoying I wanted to cut off the demo early. Instead I just avoided them, but still. They looked terrible, and the whole combat wasn't that fun.

Flying wasn't nearly as fun as it should have been if you're going to be doing it the whole game.

Maybe the final product will be better, but it doesn't seem like it. Was super bummed out, I had high hopes for this game.
