USK: Multiplayer Blur demo for Xbox 360 in the works
Leadfoots looking to put the pedal to the metal in Bizarre Creations' upcoming racer, Blur, may just get their chance, as Germany's USK database has posted (machine translation) that a Xbox 360 multiplayer demo is in the works. The listing makes no mention of a PS3 demo, though we wouldn't suggest our PS3 brethren start taking long walks off short piers just yet. Odds are if a Xbox 360 demo makes its way onto Microsoft's console, a similar demo will also eventually end up on PS3, right?
Blur is currently geared up to race onto consoles sometime in 2010.

WHY IS LIFE SO TERRIBLE?!?!??!?! NO BLUR DEMO FOR PS3? AHHH THE HUMANITY!!!!!
CzAr @ Jan 5th 2010 3:42PM
I'd take my BC2 beta over a Blur demo.
Tiptup300 @ Jan 5th 2010 11:57PM
I miss F-Zero X. Why doesn't Nintendo bring that back. GX was terrible, they totally changed the physics.
tmacairjordan87 @ Jan 5th 2010 3:07PM
Dont' think ps3 owners will be crying about this. It's just a racing game after all, how much is there to actually try that hasn't been tried before?
Shadowfax (PSN: u2fan4894) @ Jan 5th 2010 3:08PM
YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!! OH THE HUMANITY!!!!
CaramelZappa @ Jan 5th 2010 3:11PM
The twist is it's a "realistic" racing game with mario-kart style weapons and such, so I think it could be different and interesting at least.
If anything, every time a racing game is mentioned all the ps3 fanboys just talk about how it doesn't matter because GT5 is coming out eventually.
tmacairjordan87 @ Jan 5th 2010 3:13PM
Well to play more than 1 or 2 racing games is pretty redundant. Like I have Burnout Paradise for arcade style and will get GT5 for simulation style. What point is there in getting anymore racing games?
HedonisticKai @ Jan 5th 2010 3:31PM
usually i like tmac's comments. but this time i dont...
whats the point of buying any other shooters, you already own halo and mw2.
whats the point of buying any other rpgs, you already own ME and Oblivion
whats the point of buying any other adventure games, you already own Batman AA and Uncharted 2
whats the point of buying any other music games, you already own GH and RB
whats the point of buying any other mmo's you already own WoW and EQ.
because different games of the same genre are fun.
and because some people really enjoy racing games. I have NFS:S, BurnoutParadise, Forza, and a few others.
tmacairjordan87 @ Jan 5th 2010 3:37PM
All those genres have different aspects to their games though.
With racing you just...race. All the time, you just drive cars. There's nothing else to the games. So there's no need for more than 1 or 2.
HedonisticKai @ Jan 5th 2010 3:41PM
Different maps, different scenery, different vehicles, different handling, different community, different race modes, open world gameplay, story driven gameplay, online co-op modes, local split screen.
just to name a few.
Traceur_Ryuk [Now with working PS3 action!] (PSN: Ryuk_shinigami) @ Jan 5th 2010 3:59PM
Tmac, I could just as easily say with shooting you just... Shoot. No need for more than one. Now racing isn't my genre of choice either, but that's not to say that all are the same.
CaramelZappa @ Jan 6th 2010 12:46AM
RPG's are all the same, you just level up.
Shooters are all the same, you just aim and shoot.
RTS's are all the same, you just build and fight units.
Consoles are all the same, you just plug it into the tv and play games.
Games are all the same, you just press buttons.
Why do you need more than one?
See how quickly that logic lead to completely insane statements?
NOT ME @ Jan 5th 2010 3:07PM
I wish this would hurry up and come out....looks like it could be pretty decent
Bradwart The Echidna [PSN: Mister Bradster XBL: Mr Bradster] @ Jan 5th 2010 3:09PM
I don't think I'm too disappointed. I'll play GT5 on my PS3, and try Blur on my Xbox. Not too hard.
Phix @ Jan 5th 2010 3:10PM
Dear Blur,
Please don't suck.
You've been the first arcade-style racing game with a mildly interesting premise which has me interested that doesn't involve tacking on 100 tonnes of bodykits, lights, and NOS and proceed to be chased by cops.
-Phix
p.s. don't suck
Bradwart The Echidna [PSN: Mister Bradster XBL: Mr Bradster] @ Jan 5th 2010 3:12PM
I still want EA to make NFS Hot Pursuit 3...
Durden @ Jan 5th 2010 5:38PM
@ Brad Oh god yes! IMO no other racing game has matched the intensity of the Hot Pursuit cop chases. NFS 4: High Stakes on PC had some sweet cop chases too.
West @ Jan 5th 2010 7:58PM
Had some great times splitscreen with my lil bro back in the day with Hot Pursuit series on the PS1. Then Porsche Unleashed came out, and that's when I learned how to actually DRIVE a car (I was just 11 at the time haha). Good times.
koehler83 @ Jan 5th 2010 3:28PM
I've come to acknowledge that when it comes to developing on PS3, no one gets it right the first time. Many don't get it right the second time. Some never get it.
This being Bizarre-Creations' first outing on the PS3, I am, by default, extremely skeptical.
I assume there will be a demo on PS3, but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't until after it's released on Xbox.
Bradwart The Echidna [PSN: Mister Bradster XBL: Mr Bradster] @ Jan 5th 2010 3:31PM
I wouldn't say nobody gets it right, but I see your point.
Platinum_Skeet @ Jan 5th 2010 4:08PM
Is it me? or do the stills of this game look a lot better than when the games in action.
PedoJokerBear [Planeteer | Power of Gall Bladder] @ Jan 5th 2010 4:15PM
id rather have split/second
CH3BURASHKA @ Jan 5th 2010 5:28PM
Lawl, my thoughts exactly.
