The last thing 3D needs is a bunch of cheap wii games using the blue and red method to really crush its momentum.

I think you meant that the last thing Wii needs is another gimmick like 3-D to crush its momentum. And what I mean is that throwing 3-D on top of the already massive gimmick-pile that has accompanied the Wii (plastic controller shells, balance boards, motion-plus, vitality sensor, motion cameras, elastic bands and remote holsters, wired wireless controllers, Wii-speak, etc.) threatens to collapse that already teetering pile and kill everyone involved. Or their interest. Whichever comes first.

If all those accessories haven't killed the Wii, I doubt 3D glasses will.

The Balance Board and Wii Speak were great additions IF they actually used them more on games. They could actually be used for great things, instead of just sitting there for only certain games to play with.

I don't mind the Nunchuk and Classic Controller being wired since I'd hate to lose each of them individually (I lose my Wiimotes a lot, though), the wire somehow makes them impossible to lose.

The Vitality Sensor isn't even out yet and it can have some great uses... but it'll undoubtedly not use any of them and go for the more gimmicky road.

MotionPlus isn't gimmicky as it did exactly what it said it can do - and people often misunderstood the hype of Wiimotes in the first place that made them believe they should have been as accurate as the Motion+ already, so it's more of a "too late"-disappointment than a gimmick.

And... I don't really know anyone that actually uses the controller holsters.

And the Zapper? Much like the Wii-Wheel that's a choice altogether. Some people feel more comfortable with it, some people don't. Much like iPod stereos, when an iPod could easily just be hooked up to a regular stereo through the mp3 plug. At least with the Zapper, Link's Crossbow Training came with it - the Wii-Wheel is by itself excluding it being packaged with Mario Kart Wii.

Could we stop bringing up that story about the police officers playing the Wii????

I swear, it's like every chance you guys get - you HAVE to bring it up as if we didn't see the article about it already.

You know what needs a game with this crap 3D technology? Red vs. Blue. That's right. It's their time.

So, you're saying that it's pretty much in line with most of the Wii's third party offerings.

But in 3-D.

Why do I get the feeling this is going to sell a million copies?

Sounds like a campy rail shooter to me. Whether its good camp or bad camp is yet to be seen.

Retarded children eh? Do those children grow up and graduate to the HD systems and become you?

"If the kids of this generation are the future then we have no future tbh"

#1. Every generation thinks that about the generation of kids in their days.

#2. So wait... if the kids of this generation are the future then we don't have a future? The kids of this generation ARE the future, kids of every generation ARE the future - because they're kids and they GROW UP and they inherit what we had while we die. Of course they'll be the future, it's not like you can stop all of them from growing up and getting a job.
...because if you did, lots of parents would kill you for having a good-for-nothing always sleeping on the couch.

Okay. I was just joking around, but you seem to be seriously upset about this. Want me to write you a song about when games didn't have 'gimmicks' and sing it for you so you feel better? We can start off with showing me singing it and then fade to some flashbacks of you playing video games when you were little, smiling and laughing, and then bring it back to me as I end the song.

3D is an irritating gimmick that does not make movies any better.

3D in videogames could be interesting....

Actually it does make (some) movies better... Beowulf was AMAZING in 3d (in theaters) so much so, that I bought the 2d dvd thinking that the 3d wasn't as important as it actually turned out to be. It wasn't nearly as good.

But, I was thinking the whole time... "why can't they translate this to games?"

Isn't camp and cheese the point of this game? Kind of an homage to the 3D movies of yesteryear...

I'm looking forward to it and will probably enjoy it thoroughly!

I read "WiiD" as "Weed", which is another good reason.
