Looks... stiff to me. Like how the characters just stop dead and the ships jerk about. A little bit of physics would go a long way.

A beta that ends in a few weeks. Why do people always point out that it's still in beta when the game is just about to go gold (go in print)? Sure, they'll have a patch on day 1 to make all the small fixes they'll do between now and then those will be pretty minor.
This is what we're going to get.

I have never played a MMO before and as this game is set in the (good) ST Universe I'm really excited and might have to buy this.
put it like this, I could cope with some jerky animation if I get amazing storylines.

Al, welcome to MMOs. Home of horrible-yet-latency-friendly animation.

For those of you on the west coast, you can play the beta for free at The Art Institute Open House (5 locations) on Jan. 18. See http://www.artinstituteart.com/.
Apparently some of their graduates helped make the game! Anyway, I for one am looking forward to it. I agree could be jerky but if the game is immersive I can put up with a little latency.
