Dynasty Warriors was one of the first games I ever bought on the PS2 and I loved the shit out of it. The other day, my sister went out and picked up one of the newer additions to the series and it looked like the exact same freaking game, graphics and all. I still had fun with it, for what it was, but Jesus, is Koei really on that much of a shoestring budget that they can't even get rid of distance fog? How about tweaking the AI so that when two opposing soldiers meet up, they just don't stand and stare at each other for several minutes? I don't really all that much for what they're adding in Strikeforce so far, hopefully it's just more than bells and whistles and more actual changes to the gameplay.

Well said, I don't really all that much for what they're adding, either!

This game was made for Co Op. Its partially why it did so badly on the PSP. It had no online! With online it should do better.

My main gripe with this game on psp was, that I had finished everything within the span of a few days, on my own.
Online mode yay, but there's only so many times you can replay the same missions which are boring because you're overpowered until they throw three transformed officers at you at the same time.
I'll get it, eventually, though not worth full-price, even with the Orochi warriors additions.

I downloaded the demo off of the Japanese PSN store, and for what I can tell, it's a clone of Monster Hunter but it's Dynasty Warriors. The only reason I show interest in this game is because I'm a monster hunter fan however in Japan, Monster Hunter is the biggest thing since Godzilla, and to top it off, NamcoBandai and SquareEnix are trying to use the same gameplay style for there upcoming games, God Eater, and Final Fantasy XIV Online. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, but is it just me or I'm noticing a weird trend in Japan where RPGs are turning into Monster Hunter clones left and right?

Hahaha, I thought that was an odd typo and then it occurred to me to my post.
