Now that Pre is coming to Verizon, the market is that much bigger.

Reheheheheally...

Downloading now (provided prices aren't insane). I'll let you know how it performs.

One of my gripes about the Pre I have is that it seems to be less responsive than the iPhone. I still love it for other reasons though.

So.... let's see how games perform.

Looks like Gameloft is throwing their weight behind the Pre. When they port NOVA, trust me. Buy it. One of the best games last year.

Thanks for the heads up Darth.

I'm downloading NFS Undercover and even on Wi-Fi it looks like it'll be quite a while.

I feel old now because of how shocked I am at how well that worked. 3D games on the Pre: Myth Confirmed.

I don't think 3D gaming is meant for these kinds of things. I bought Nazi Zombies for iPhone The controls were atrocious, it looked bad, and the framerate was terrible. I guess there are certain games that works, like I had a lot of fun with The Sims 3.

Did you remap to twin sticks? I found it pretty good then.

Yep. I often found myself not moving or looking because I wasn't touching the "sticks".

It wasn't unplayable or anything, it just didn't feel natural.

On-screen joysticks, with no tactile feedback, never feel natural. It's too easy for your thumbs to drift.

At least the Pre has a physical keyboard. That'll help alleviate some of the control issues that some iPhone games have.

Watch out; they look like they'd make excellent weapons. Maybe she's just prepared. You know, for zombies.

Come now, those are pretty wicked cute boots... It's the woman who does them a disservice, and her clashing fashion sense.

To bad it's not the 1.4 update that's supposed to add video recording capabilities.

This is also very interesting from another perspective.

WebOS and Android both run on the Linux kerne, there UI maybe slightly different but other than that its basically the same system so in theory it should be really easy to port these games between each platform..

It gets even more interesting, because Nokia have ditched Symbian for a Linux based OS in one of their new phones, which means that that could also be indirectly affected..

I would guess they would all use OpenGL for the 3D rendering, and I would guess they are pretty much using the same line of processors which would mean the changes required would be minimal..

There is also another thing here, if they can easily port this game onto Linux based mobile phones, how hard would it be to get the games to run on actual desktop / laptop based Linux distributions ? My android is currently running a 2.6.29 Linux kernel and my desktop is running:

uname -a
Linux fr1ght 2.6.31-16-generic

This is all very interesting..

I kind of agree, I want games like pokemon, something which will fill up a train trip and doesn't require your full attention.
