That's nice to know that Razor makes quality products. The controller looks sexy though.

Am I seeing double or there's four bumper buttons?

@reverse
Yeah, one might be a turbo button. Not really sure. I have a Razer Deathadder 3500 (got it for Christmas) and I love it. It's an amazing mouse and it has some really nice touches that make it great.
I'm very happy about this announcement- I wonder if I can trade in a regular Xbox 360 controller for this :O!

Wired controllers allow for faster and more precise transmission of information which really, is what you're looking for if you're buying a razer. It shouldn't be because it's purdy but because they perform better, and being wired improves that

@ reversecycology

I think the extra bumpers could double as alternatives to the triggers which will make the input for shooter games faster.

I thought the whole D-pad thing was patent issues that both Nintendo and Sony own. That's why the D-Pad on the 360 sux.

The outward appearance is all that is copyrighted. Microsoft just setup the dpad's internals to be RETARDED.

Ghen,

I think the D-Pad on the S-Controller is much better than the Xbox 360's D-pad. The 360's D-pad is completely garbage.

I wasn't even really impressed by the Mad Catz Street Fighter D-pad either.

Give me the Sega Saturn or the Sega Genesis 6 button controller's D-pad.

I'm using the Razor keyboard right now and it's terrible. sometimes random keys will not work and in the Driver control it doesn't even allow you to access it's "macros" features Razor makes cool looking stuff, but they drop the ball on functionality and programming.
STAY AWAY

What model do you have? My Arcosta keyboard works just fine (I have no use for macros, so no comment on their functionality). And their mice are highly touted as well - I eagerly await to see how well they'll do with a controller.

I think yours may be defective, I've had 0 problems with my Lycosa. It's an excellent board.

I've had a Lycosa as well and yep the same problem happens to me too. It goes away when I reconnects the keyboard but it's a pain in the ass when that happens specially in when I'm in the middle of a multiplayer game.

I think it may be a power supply or motherboard issue because I've have two other friends who also uses the Lycosa and they very rarely have that problem. And I know they have very good power supplies and motherboards while mine are average at best.

Speak of the devil! Maybe it will have a better D-pad :D

It's a good looking controller, which is something I've rarely thought of unofficial controllers. I doubt I will be buying a wired controller anytime soon though.

Yeah, I saw the cord and I was like "wat".

But seriously in terms of Console gaming I like things to be wireless. In terms of PC gaming it doesn't matter to me.

I do. I own both wired and non-wired, and I use the wired one more often. I like never having to change batteries, and my gaming chair is within a mile of my 360 so the wire doesn't get in my way. Your mileage may vary.

It's funny, just a generation ago the wired controller was the norm, but I don't see myself going back. Whenever I have the charge cable out I'm always moving it so it doesn't knock something over or trip someone.

It's for the precision. Wireless devices still haven't hit the accuracy of wired devices. Basically, in order for this to be wireless and keep the claim of being "very precise" it would have to cost 2x as much.

I don't feel any difference between a wired and wireless controller in terms of response time. Btw, I hate that battery sack under the wireless 360 controller. The DualShock 3 controller even lasts longer than the wireless 360 controller.

D-Pad on the controller looks like it could be good and OMG its wired?! Sold! I hate buying batteries, recharging batteries, and frankly I hate the spinning green light on the guide button when my batteries are at 50%.

Like when you don't touch a game for a minute and the character starts looking around or cleaning his gun or whatever.

It'd be cool if the "private communication channel for in-game team conversations" could be used to bypass MW2 party chat block, plus 5.1, wired and a different d-pad, finally. Sounds to good to be true.
