Spydertaco, are you a human being or are you made of pixels? I ask this because I'm curious where to find a digital bargain bin. Also where did you play the demo? Lastly, why would you buy a bad game even if it was $2.99?

I think he wants to buy it for $2.99 as an ironic statement, "look, i bought your game for 3 dollars, who's the loser now?"

I don't get why this is not coming to XBLA and PSN too. Sell it for $5-10 and use it to promote the release of it's big brother.

How would you blow the dust off the cartridge?

...No, I'm not dropping that. It's making me wistful for my childhood.

...I can't believe I'm old enough to actually say that.

I second the call for a PSP version. A DSi is not worth its MSRP to me, so I would like to have this and the Shantae sequel come to a system I already own. Of course, I do own a PC, too, but it's nowhere near as portable.

I thought it was already confirmed for XBLA. A DSiWare exclusive will just limit sales as most DS owners are still content with their DS Lite, and even those who do have a DSi may not be interested in downloadable content.

Downloadable content is the only reason to buy a DSi!

I agree with Curt.

I use the camera often on the DSi, but for fun reasons - no serious "photo opportunity" moments. So the camera isn't worth the DSi.
I haven't put any mp3s into my DSi since I got it, and I'm not planning to anytime soon... yet again, the mp3s aren't worth the DSi.

I do however play my downloaded games A LOT.
It is quite nice to just turn on my DSi and its happy little menu just to scroll around and play simple and fun games from the DSi shop.
...yes, you can do this for the PSP, but the games for the DSiWare are quite fun in their own rights.
Nowadays I'm playing my DSiWare more than my DS games...

I'd settle for a WiiWare release. Hell, I might even prefer it since the controller worked out so well for Mega Man 9. XBLA or PSN are where it should go to reach its real target audience, though. Isn't Dark Void getting released on those platforms anyway?

"XBLA or PSN are where it should go to reach its real target audience, though."

The retro crowd is mostly within the Nintendo platforms.
Not saying they're not in the Microsoft and Sony crowd either, but less people complain about retro remakes (or in this case: "revival") within the Nintendo crowds than they do in the Microsoft and Sony crowds...

SoshiKitai: First, I didn't hear much complaining about Mega Man 9 on XBLA. That's pretty retro, though I preferred the Wii version for the controller. Second, since the main Dark Void game is getting released on the 360 and the PS3, it makes sense to release this on those platforms as a tie-in (cash-in) with the main title. That's what I meant by "reach its target audience". I'm sure the number of people interested in this but not in the 360/PS3 title is very small, so it makes sense to go after those gamers on the same consoles.

This only proves once again that the Nintendo Entertainment System left all who saw its true glory scared for life!
I will one day have my dream of a R.O.B. butler come true! Sir, would you like your controller now?
