Lionhead community manager Sam Van Tilburgh recently teased his Twitter followers with a pair of less-than-140-character missives. Tilburgh spent this past weekend "writing storyboard summaries for two new Fable 3 videos," which will apparently "come out when we show Fable 3 for the 1st time at an event next month in SF." Of course, for that second Tweet, we're assuming "SF" stands for San Francisco, and not a much smaller venue, such as "Sam's Foyer."
We're not certain what event Tilburgh is talking about -- it's possible that Lionhead might be planning its own event to introduce the world to the flatulence-simulating technology it's discovered over the past year. Regardless, we're not too far off from seeing more of Fable 3, and that fills us with joy.

Molyneux, if you make this game so that it requires Natal, you are dead to me.

There will probably be a Super Limited Edition announced that comes with all this cool stuff. Then, two weeks before release, they'll gut it and just have an extra DVD and some bonus content.
The game will release, but some boxes won't have their DLC cards, so Microsoft will give the 'exclusive' content to anyone who claims they don't have the card, with no verification as to which version they bought. The other goodies will be released free on Lionhead's website.
Oh, wait...that was Fable II LE.
Whoops.

I like Fable, heck it was one of the reasons I got the original Xbox yet I don't understand why people like it so much. The stories for both are intriguing, but nothing spectacular since I have no real love for "Avalon" like I do Hyrule.
Microtransactions sealed the deal that this will be a rent to me just like Fable 2 was, not to mention that Molyneux greatly EXAGGERATES his games.

i don't think they will, it'd be stupid of them to curb sales of one of their biggest franchises for natal. i mean, yes, they should sell fable III as a natal product in order to motivate sells, but when it comes down to it, losing sales of fable III over natal exclusivity would be a terrible idea.

and also, this game will have no mountains in the distance. Or invisible walls except for the ones that are there.

You want a game where you're bitched at by your wife and surrounded by unruly kids? Don't we get enough of that in real life?

...and somehow The Sims was still a huge hit. I don't get it either.
Of course, in real life when the wife and kids get to be too much, I don't usually get to fast travel to some seedy portside town and have a five-way with some ladies of the night, so that may be the draw.

I always forced them to go swimming then removed the ladder so they were forever trapped in the pool until they drowned..
Ohh or build walls all around them so they're forced to pee themselves and just be generally uncomfertable. I guess they eventually died of hunger.
I'm not one for managing a family.

I always built them into a small room in the middle of the living room. Sim 1 is trapped, Sim 2 goes about his or her daily life. And then, put in a single window in the "cell."
Sim 2 goes to work, comes back, sees a stranger trapped in their house in a room with one window, freaks out, then goes to make dinner. Eats, walks past, freaks out again, and then goes to bed.
After about 30 minutes of the Sims, it turns into the most sadistic, but awesome, game ever.

I never played the second one, so maybe it's really good.. but I wasn't that impressed with the first. It was a great idea, but it honestly seemed a bit boring.
The idea of "choose who you are" was really too limited to basically be nice or kill the person you're talking to.

The problem the second game had was that it was more fun to screw around and play Bowerstone Monopoly than to actually play the story portion.

I felt the same way about the first game.
I tried a few tasks but quickly realized that escorting the man safely to his destination was something that apparently never ended. Every time he'd be waiting there again. Next I decided to go on a rampage and kill people. That was rather fun for awhile.
Finally I ended up working my way through... the thieves nest? About mid-way through there I just stopped. It seemed like a game where I could keep repeating the same actions over and over and nothing would change.

Eh, considering Fable 1 was the best of the series so far, you'll probably hate 2. It was a complete downgrade in every right to me, and the money would be better spent on the lost chapters version of Fable 1.
Besides, Molyneux talks and spits out sh**. That whole Milo thing for Natal was most likely scripted, because if it was as truly advanced as they said, they should of showed it off in person, not via recording it. The acting in it was about as realistic as House or The Onion, but without the catchy humor or awesome cane-wielding doctor.
*waits and next month Molyneux is walking around with a cane and PHD in medicine*
Damit Moly!

I didn't like the first one either. Had it on xbox and hated the control scheme. Bought it again for PC and still didn't like the controls though it was a vast improvement over the xbox version. still found it to be very difficult to stay interested. just seemed like 5 games i already played mushed into one with british accents.

Sandbox Extroadinaire Peter is back! The latest innovations from Molyneux:
New minigames allow you to pick your own nose, scratch your arse, and even pluck your eyebrows.
New 'Office Newbie' Occupation will have you making coffee for various NPCs throughout the game, gradually achieving the title of 'Middle Manager'
Be careful! If you don't tie your hero's shoes you'll fall in battle in ways NEVER experienced on a video game.
Finally the greatest feature in Fable 3; the Argument mechanic. Now you can engage in petty bickering with your virtual spouse!
Despite my pejorative attitude, the sad thing is that I will most probably buy this game anyway.

This just cements my theory that half of the people who come to this site are fully-on retarded.
Fact 1: Peter Molyneux consistantly lies about Fable.
Fact 2: I wasn't trying to make 'shits' into a quantifiable measurement. I was crafting a poorly executed joke.
P.S. I hate you.

Not a deciding factor for me, but a big letdown no doubt... I mean, what better way to share "your own" adventure than with a friend. Shooters,m i understand the mechanics in that there is a pace to upkeep, and having players get frustrated trying to find each other is pointless.
But this here is a robust action/RPG. All that housing, customization etc for what...? bah!

Two things i want to hear them say about this game:
Natal is an option to play fable 3 but can use controller if your one of the people waiting to see if its wii style shovelware or actually good games that will be made for it.
You will only use real money to pay for well made DLC, buying a weapon or armor with real money is just stupid and even thinking about it means we deserve a kick in the nuts.
Not sure if second part is true but its something i heard...

I just can't get into the Fable universe. I don't think the gesture system is funny or innovative at all, I think the gameplay is passable but nothing special, I don't find the story particularly engaging or fun. Is something wrong with me?
