Hell yes. Freaking loved AC4, even though it wasn't very popular among critics...

AC 3 was my favourite, I didn't particularly like the latest 2 games, they felt over complicated, I really liked certain elements of AC1 like the whole 'only 2 weapons and a laser sword' thing, that was cool.

I also liked AC3 and I feel the games have taken to the slopes since it. It'd be nice if this breaks the pattern.

I agree with the sentiments stating the Chromehounds is crap.

Chromehounds was a great game, and was one of the best team/tactical games out there until party chat came along (and even after it to some degree); Sega is just a crappy publisher and killed it with lack of support, and then by shutting down the servers.

You people that proclaimed Chromehounds as crap were obviously expecting a much faster paced game than you got. CH had some very distinct subtleties that the hardcore fast action mech games overlooked. Sorry, crap it was not, but a very well through out action/strategy game. Strategy in that you just couldn't simply walk in and shoot, but in fact had to plan out how you faced various opponents.

Every time I see "Demon's Souls" it reminds me of the Troll Toll.

Oh hell yes! I love me some Armored Core!

I hope this one gets a few more players online though, I traded in 4 answer and AC4 after plowing through them and months of few, if any, battles.

I'll probably pass on Last Raven for PSP unless they balance or fix the AI, It was broken with a PS2 controller (hop fighting enemies EVERY TIME = bleh)

Anyone know if AC3 for PSP was any good? I loved the original version.

I want to be hopeful for this, I really do, but is there any reason to expect it to be any different at all from the other ones?

The last one was absolutely horrible in my opinion. However, I love the series and still play 1 and 3 all the time. I hope this one at the very least has more respectable graphics.

I wish some company would get back on the Earthsiege/ Starsiege (not Tribes) IP and deliver us some Herculean awesomeness.

But they're so damned hard! Honestly, mech games don't really get more fun than Zone of the Enders 2. From Software really needs to expand their portfolio and try something new with Armored Core.

I really stopped paying attention after AC2. I rented 3 but felt that it didn't stand up to the 2nd. Regardless, I haven't played a decent mech game in years and will probably by this if it's even remotely good.

clicking the big "5" on the site links to a Google search for the word "senjou," which means "battlefield."

So that's 1942, 2, 2142, 1943, Bad Company...wouldn't that make it 6? Or which one of Bad Company or 1943 is the 'spinoff?'

Heroes doesn't count.

Silent line was the crowing piece of the series in my opinion and if it makes it to Australian territories I shall definitely pick it up on PSP.

As for AC 5; my curiosity is piqued. AC 4 Answer was a step in the right direction following up on AC4, and I think this game should truly get the formula down.
