If a recent change to Singularity's GameStop releases listing is accurate, Activision's oft-delayed shooter will see another push down the 2010 calendar. Originally slated for release in 2009, Singularity was delayed to March 2010 to help establish the game as a "must have" and distance it from Modern Warfare 2's nuclear explosion -- mostly, the latter.
While a changed retailer listing is not confirmation of a delay, another bump may be absolutely necessary for Raven Software's title to have a shot at success (and Raven could use a lift). When the original delay was announced, Activision suggested that the March release window provided "fewer competitive titles" for Singularity to go up against. While Capcom has made that statement slightly more believable, Activistion is still wrong.
Like, really, really, really, really, really wrong. If Singularity's new listed date of June 1, 2010 isn't what the publisher intends, perhaps Activision should consider it.

They only did to release the sequel in a bundle pack at the new release date...

This would be a great game to have during summer. Even with releases being spread throughout the entire year more now, summer still seems desolate in comparison, and I was almost certainly not going to pick this up at it's current timeframe

I'm sorry, Bobby Kotick, but I'm seeing the next TimeShift, Fracture, etc. kind of game with Singularity. I doubt this will do well at retail or in reviews.

Ah yes, I saw Inversion. By the folks at Saber Interactive, whom were responsible for TimeShift. Like TimeShift and most likely Singularity, I expect Inversion to be an average and solid game that does absolutely nothing that's special. It'll feature more cardboard cutout character design that give the game a lifeless feel.

So...you don't think Mass Effect 2 or FFXIII have replay value? I could see Heavy Rain, since they say play it once, but...

Yeah, Mass Effect usually has little to no replay value.

Well, Mass Effect you can play twice, but what is there to gain in playing FFXIII more than once? Seeing the same cutscenes again?

Ray Kurzweil will be pissed!

Make's Sense it probably would have failed in March as well.
Both GOW and FF13 come out that month

Sam, you're insane. Why would you play ME2 once! You need at least four playthroughs to really experience it!
One Male Paragon
One Male Renegade
One Female Paragon
One Female Renegade.

and 1 playthrough for each class, since each of them seem awesome now instead of just 1.
and 1 playthrough with a loaded profile from ME1 to see extra things, plus another playthrough with a different playthrough with different choices from ME1 to see what else changed.
There's a good 6+ playthroughs in that game.

Oh yeah. I personally managed seven playthroughs with the first.
But that was fiddlesticks compared to the 15+ playthroughs I have for KotOR.
Speaking of which, it's time for another one soon.

Main Shepard (based off me) - Vanguard
Default Shepard (renegade) - Soldier
Female Shepard (Paragon) - Infiltrator
Female Shepard (renegade) - Sentinel
and a bunch of achievement characters (as in, characters made to get achievements)
Average play through was probably around 15 hours. Complete play troughs (doing all side quests) was around 20-25 hours. I sure got a lot out of that game. One of the reasons I love/hate WRPGs. I can't imagine playing Dragon Age with Mass Effect 2 coming out so soon.

I completely forgot about this game. I just have to say I hate screen shots that have an enemy right at the face of the player. It makes me think the AI is dumb and that guy is just like "Durr hurr do I shoot em sarge!."

Weird, I wasn't aware it necesitated or, dare I say, deserved so much time in development: I thought it was a generic single-gimmick decent game, AKA Timeshift, etc. Maybe it will be a surprise as to how good it is, kinda like Batman.

Q1 2010 is probably going to be a killing grounds, considering how many games got pushed back to it.
I was just saying to my friend tonight during Spec Ops co-op that I wouldn't be surprised to see some of those games pushed back again. Sure 'nuff.
Batman: AA proved a game can be a hit in the summer, just as Avatar proved you can get summer-style box office in the middle of winter. (Though Batman: AA wasn't Ferngully in Space)

Obviously the correct characters are Grizzled Vaguely Asian Male (Renegade) and Pretty Redhead Femshep (Paragon)
