Anyone know why this game was/is exclusive in the first place? I'm assuming that this was supposed to be MicroSofts answer to MGS4. I know this had been delayed a few times and it makes the most sense that MS wanted it to be their sneaky spy game. I know all the previous titles released on the PS2/Gamecube but usually after the X-Box release. I'm pretty damn hopeful this game won't be anything like Splinter Cell Double Agent as that was the worst game in the entire series. More of chaos theory / pandora tomorrow and less of Double Agent would be a good thing in my book.

Ubisoft probably needed some money, so Uncle Ballmer gave them a quick fix (read: large check).

PS3 has MGS4 anyway.

I think its the other way around. I think MS needed an exclusive game to rival MGS4 and they secured it as an exclsuive opposed to Ubisoft needing money. If we go by history then this is only a times exclusive anyway.

Either way, that money will just go to making the PS3 version that much better, as it has in every 360 timed exclusive that went to PS3.

Ubisoft has a history of releasing sequals exclusive to an Xbox console

After multiplatform Rainbow Six 3, they released:
Rainbow Six: Black Arrow for Xbox

After multiplatform Rainbow Six Lockdown, they released:
Rainbow Six: Critical hour for Xbox

After multiplatform Ghost Recon, they released:
Ghost Recon : Island Thunder for Xbox

After multiplatform Ghost Recon 2, they released:
Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike for Xbox

But they also had Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm for PS2 and Ghost recon: Desert Siege for PC

@KingOfGods

Good point but if memory serves me correct every main entry in the Splinter Cell series has made its way to Sony's console after the X-Box version.

So long as Splinter Cell never strives to have quite as convoluted and overly dramatic a story as MGS4, satisfaction is guaranteed. Still wish this game was multi-platform, though.

Lol. Reply-fail and a continued spelling-fail.

And to answer your question. I don't really think they look metal gear. The octocamo is more of a one-piece deal.

*Starts slow clap for Ubisoft Montreal*

Good fucking job. Seriously, too many games forget about split screen. Some people, ya know, have people they socialize with *in real life*. We're not all a bunch of obese hermits. So again, thank you for that. Props.

*Stares at all of the lazy, inconsiderate, ass hole developers who don't program in split-screen*

There is no excuse for not having split screen. I don't care if you're opposed to it. You're wrong. Period. People will take the lack of visual fidelity to play a game in person with a friend. There are a LOT of people who will do that. There is ZERO excuse for not doing it.

I get more and more excited with every new bits of news for Conviction.

A definite first day buy for me ... hopefully it won't dissapoint in terms of the single player campaign.

Fantastic! Split-screen co-op was the best part of Chaos Theory, I hope it plays similarly to that game.

The 1up Podcast says the co-op in this game has really bad screen tearing and frame rate problems as is (although, the game isn't finished yet,so here's hope!)
