Metal Slug XX trailer brings the bullets
24
Metal Slug: Double X -- the upgraded, multiplayer-capable PSP remix of the Nintendo DS title Metal Slug 7 -- is rounding the corner to its UMD-exclusive release February 23 on PSP. Apart from adding a new coat of paint, Double X adds support an ad-hoc two-player multiplayer mode, 70 missions and a kitchen sink full of blood and bullets. What? You don't believe the game has a hearty dose of hot lead? Allow us (and Atlus) to prove it with the brand new trailer above. Also, never doubt us again!

I hate when they hire IDIOTS to create a trailer for their game, especially when it's basically all glitz with very little actual game play being seen. When will they learn?

Some of the best gametrailers have little to no gameplay. Gears of War and Bioshock are perfect examples...

Adds in the one thing that was missing from the DS version (Multi) and makes it PSP exclusive! :(
Come on PSN version...

Metal Slug is a cool game series and all, but I'm disappointed as to never seeing any actual metal slugs.
This is not me trying to be funny. I really want to know what a metal slug would look like.

a 'metal slug' is the tank. so if you've played the game, you've probably seen a slug.

I know Metal Slug is the tank.
I know it wasn't obvious, but I was referring to my first reaction to hearing the title of the game.
"A metal slug? That sounds like a stupid game."
I have been wrong ever since, and very glad I was.

Fio is #1.
And like the last trailer they released a week or two back, the title is "one X short of trouble with the ESRB."

Copy-paste from an earlier comment I made, under the Hexyz Force announcement, showing that Atlus has not completely ruled out a release on the PS Store for Metal Slug XX:
The reply to comment #176 under the Metal Slug XX announcement on the PS Blog says this: "We can confirm that AT LAUNCH, Metal Slug XX will only be available on UMD." Hoping this URL goes through the Joystiq comment system: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/01/metalslug/comment-page-4/#comments

Yes, the XBLA version is still planned, but I don't think Atlus is publishing that version.

l find it hilarious that SNK redid the character designs to make the females hot yet left the male ones intact
In the DS vers, the charac designs for the females look that of the males.
