More like Nintendo was concerned by the thought that the DS would stop printing money.

Why bother making a DS2 when so many tools are buying every remake of the original DS?

I would call bullshit, but we've seen poor translations get overblown into something radically different (anyone remember "no more core games for 2-3 years?")

The only difference is that this time, his comments seemed to make a lot of sense. So we shall see.

Isn't there a company out there that's releasing a DSiWare game that uses the cameras to simulate a tilt-sensor?

I never considered that... it's genius! Now, if only the developers knew that and we could save $170+ on another DSincarnation with motion sensors

You and me both.

The DS is great and all, but god the revisions need to stop. I know they are just trying to milk money out of the casuals and fanboy tools with as little effort as possible, but seriously they should have stopped at the Lite.

Ugh, I don't want a new DS. Unlike the motion controls of the Wii, the touchscreen on the DS actually... You know. Fucking WORKS.

Plus its graphics, while not astounding, are very good for 2D games, which are really most suited for handhelds anyway. As a sidenote, this new Might and Magic game owns and everyone who has a DS should play it.

And about your side note, I bought warriors of might and magic for PS2, worst game ever! I will never buy from that franchise again :o

No, they should have stopped after DSi. DSi XXL pushed it over the edge.

I've been so conditioned to his Cartman-shoop that I was slightly confused as to who it was.

Yes Nintendo needs to stop making ever so slightly updated DS models and actually release a full blown upgrade.

NOA knows nothing and that was a poor excuse.

Stick to the only official source, NCL, and Iwata's comments in that interview. They weren't misinterpreted.

Sure, but corporate denial from the Japanese arm wouldn't be a surprise either. I'm sure they don't intend to really talk about DS2 until it's a lot closer to release.

That said, if I remember right, he didn't really say much about it (including the shocking news that it will have better graphics than the current one).

I always thought by motion control meant something like accelorometers, you know like the iPod Touch. but the improved graphics thing sounds awesome. Totally hope they announce it at E3.

Steve, if I may be serious for a second, quit being such a stupid tool.

Judging by your name I'm assuming you aren't a prepubescent little girl still in Elementary School. Thus, there should be nothing the DSi can offer you that the DS Lite doesn't do better. Now, if you are a prepubescent little girl who needs her camera and music player and super casual super sucky DSi games please forgive me, but otherwise it's time to quit being such a blind little fanboy, and start being a man.
