Dragon Age's 'Return to Ostagar' DLC sneaks onto Xbox Live; missing from PSN, PC [update]

Update: BioWare has announced issues with the Return to Ostagar DLC that lead to its being pulled from the Xbox Live Marketplace. More information here.

The twice-delayed Return to Ostagar DLC for Dragon Age: Origins seems to have fought its way onto Xbox Live, as reader Harry has sent in a couple images showing the item being available through the in-game menu. Going through Xbox Live, we managed to access the content after sorting by "All Downloads." We can confirm that neither the PS3 nor PC versions of Dragon Age: Origins could access the add-on at the time of writing this post.

By the way, Harry, if you need some help spending all those points you've stacked, we may have a few ideas for you.

DLC is always nice for these types of games. Can anyone tell me how this game is? Buy or rent?

you can with Gamefly. Although you should probably just buy it.

I would say it's a buy. I rented from GameFly with inFamous last week. Played inFamous for a couple of hours and haven't touched since. I'm about 12 hours into DA:O and I don't feel like it's ever going to end. It's a great surprise.

It's Final Fantasy XII with a Lord of the Rings skin. I like it.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been stuck on Assassin's Creed 2 and Bayonetta. I've been pushing this off until I heard more personable feedback. Reviews are nice but always better to hear your opinions.

Honestly, finish those 2 first before you get into this. It is a game that demands nothing less than your full attention, much to the chagrin of my girlfriend, I'm sure.

baby sea tuna is right, this game is consuming. I had AC 2 and Forza 3 sitting unplayed for about 2 weeks over this game, and my girlfriend was starting to throw fits because I was playing DA 6-8 hrs a day.

Surprised it's not on PC, but PSN updates tomorrow so that's probably why it's not there, perhaps just a slip up on XBLA's part.

Slip up or no, I just bought it.

Obviously it's not going to be on PSN before Thursday.

I am extremely disappointed that this has not been released for the PC yet.

Where's a nor'easter that drops 3 feet of snow when you need one? I need some serious alone time with this game.

Downloaded it and beat it, took about 30 minutes. It was meh, some cool items at least.

30 Minutes? Somehow I doubt it. It usually took me at least 30 minutes to even "debrief" my party after a mission.

On the file I used, my time before starting RtO was 5:03. My time after was 5:37.

So 34 minutes, playing on Normal, playing as a level 10 mage.

Well, I still need an excuse to get back to Ferelden and I'll take what I can get.

Yeah, same here. I just need one more achievement and I told myself when RtO comes out I'll start on it.

It's a good idea to keep your all of your user folders (documents etc.) on a separate partition so if you were to reinstall or upgrade the OS it doesn't even touch anything else. Only problem is that some games still store saves in C:\Users\*Name*\AppData so you still have to be careful.

Interesting, that is the exact same way I found the DA:O premium theme for the NXE. I couldn't fanthom that there wasn't one, but never turned up, unless you did a browse/all.

Oh...and RTO is downloading now. Tonight will be sweet.

Well, I know what I'm doing this evening.

Heads up: I leveled up during the DLC and all the specializations I had unlocked (besides the ones I had active on a character) became relocked. Other players are reporting this issue as well.

Had this DLC for 2 days on PC. You can't make me say where I got it, though.

They seem to be ignoring the specialization glitch though.

I beat it in about an hour, it was fun and like Greg Zeschuk or whoever said, it does seem to have a lot of replay value, the little back and forths between party members was very frequent and im eager to see all the different combinations of responses. The loot was really good too, although I felt like i should give it all to Alistair : /

Well it is exactly 400 points so I can just redeem 400 points exactly and only pay £4 instead of £8

Scratch that, 500 MSP = £4.25

So better than I thought =D

its a good deal for only $5 =p. too bad the stats for cailans armor set suck though.

How suckish are we speaking? And how much strength is required to wear it?

high str requirement (36) and stats will not wow you at all
