You expect a game-making software for Linux, from Microsoft?

Kodu is really awesome and all, but I think Microsoft shouldn't have had released it under Indie Arcade. It makes it confusing to people who don't know exactly what XNA is. They think it's like a drag/drop game design software. When it's actually just an api.

I still haven't tried this on the 360.

Did some work with XNA on the PC, though.

Alas, Nuke Dukem Never will never come out. (probably because of the meaning of "nuke dukem"

I still say you should add the comment kill filter's link right into your user name. Either that or add in "Wanna bitch about how often I post? Well grow the hell up."

On Kodu though: Wasn't this the product that was supposed to be Microsoft's answer to LBP and was supposed to blow it out of the water? I can see using this to sell a game on 360, but it seems like the PC would have much easier ways of making money than using Kodu.

Then my name would be so ridiculously long.

Yeah, it was a LBP competitor, but there wasn't server-side integration to show off these games. That's why it tanked.

Wow - Bradwart, just give the spamming a rest once in a while. Every thread is full of some bs you make up in post after post. How did it tank? It was released for kids to play with to develop games without coding as opposed to LBP which is a game all its own - that people design levels for..after they buy it to play. They aren't the same at all. Give the MS hate a rest in every topic at this site.

Yeah rells, it was released: http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8025855024c

Is this the full Kodu on the PC, or did they pull stuff out to make it free?

Actually Kudo has nothing to do with or was in any way a respond to LBP. LBP is a full retail game while Kudo is a side project from a few MS employees that allows you to create a game without coding. Kudo isn't even a game but instead a creation tool.

LBP is a game that allows you within the game environment to create custom levels. The two are totally different and they are positioned totally different by their publishers.

My son loves creating his custom levels in LBP and he will tool around that for hours. With Kudo, my son has learned how to create his own games weather its a platform game or a game with a 3d world. In a way Kudo is way more flexible in what you can create then LBP.
