But look, to be totally honest, we're still a bit smitten with the Engineer class from a few weeks back. It's kind of hard to think about using another shotgun (yes, even a space shotgun) knowing there's a class with its own killer robot. That being said, if you're into that whole gun "thing," Mass Effect 2's Soldier is right up your alley.
Mass Effect 2's Soldier class really likes guns

I'm still leaning towards continuing with the Vanguard class, which I loved in the first game, but these videos are making my decision that much harder. Oh well, it looks like I may have to play through the game 3 or 4 times. IT CAN'T COME OUT SOON ENOUGH

I have my 59 level vanguard ready to go, all I need is for Gamefly to send me this as soon as it comes out.

Looks overpowered (but fun!), but pretty much every class seems OP now. I'm still rolling vanguard first because of that awesome biotic charge move, but I'll definitely have at least 6 playthroughs of the game so I can experience every class.
I'm really impressed with how much they improved the combat over ME1. ME1 was a good first step towards actual good combat in a Bioware game, but 2 looks like it's actually on par with the top 3rd person shooters now. Seems like after this game the RPG genre will have finally evolved into having good combat.

Someone from Bioware recently claimed ME2 was going to be set at a more old-school level of difficulty though. We can only hope..

I know, the wait is getting unbearable for me...even worse than the weeks leading up to ME1. I mean fallout 3 and Darksiders are keeping me busy as best as they can, but the days crawl by soooo slow.

My ME1 playthrough is keeping me calm.
And I just picked up Crimson Skies. That's distaction enough.

You can't really call "game of the year" when it's barely 2010. That's like saying a movie is "best comedy of the year" when it comes out January 2nd.

yeah why don't we name it game of the year already, I mean why would we bother for the other games:
God of War 3
Splinter Cell
Heavy Rain
Gran Turismo 5
Final Fantasy
Seriously

Because none of them will be better than ME2.
And I'm kinda insulted you put Final Fantasy on there. As if a JRPG could compete for goty, let alone compete with something as great as Mass Effect.

@ BigPapi {PSN: jcakcajca}
He was joking. Anyways, there is no way that a racing game like Gran Turismo or a niche game like Heavy Rain will be awarded GotY by anyone, and Splinter Cell and Final Fantasy aren't likely as well, no matter how well recieved. Maybe God of War 3.
This is a stupid topic anyways, but I wanted to point our that your examples aren't great

Um this article is about Mass Effect 2, not Red Dead Redemption. I think you mean this will be RUNNER-UP for game of the year.

While I find it unlikely aswell, what would you call Demon's Soul's? It was voted GOTY by Gamespot (inb4 Gamespot are dickheads, etc)

@ Tmac: Logical? Dude you are far from being logical, the logical mind would accept that their opinion is crap in the face of MASSIVE results showing the contrary to what they spout. Heck by now you would think you would have wiped your mouth with all the brown crust around it from all the sh** talking about Uncharted 2.

Yeah I miss the 90s, when games like Mortal Kombat, GTA, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, and Doom didn't exist yet.
