Nope.

Netflix on my 360 is one of the least glitchy things I use ever since the last update. I remember before the update any HD streaming would go back to 480p every 5 minutes. No more though. You should probably do some type of cache cleaning thing.

Nope. I've never had that problem on my 360. I do agree I'd prefer regular fast forward though, rather than the pane/scene selection.

This will revolutionize Netflix streaming. PS3 and 360 are simply too hardcore for the movie masses, now everyone can enjoy a unique film experience: 480i with waggle!

My bad. I'm sure that 480p will look stunning on your HDTV.

lol.... Considering the ONLY HD Content my Kids get on their TV is when I feel like connecting their PC to it, they will be grateful for the 480p.....

Yeah, but the version of Java for Blu-ray is likely too resource intensive for the Wii.

Reposting due to reply fail.

"BD-Live is Blu-Ray only, as it relies heavily on Java."

You do realize one of the touted features of Java is "It runs on everything", right? The original idea for Java was that it was a programming langauge that worked the same on whatever hardware reguardless of the OS. It was slow as hell, but did work. Now a hardware manufacturer can block Java from working on hardware if they want to (such as a cell phone manufacturer or service provider blocking Java so you can't install your own games and sofware) but it's still runs on most everything.

Java has existed long before Blu-Ray, long before the PS3, long before the PS2, hell, before the PS1. It has existed for longer than some of you have been alive.

and after all this time Sun's Java for Windows still manages to suck, crash, run slow, and be a pain in the arse to keep up to date on a managed network.

Well, I'll be damned... it's just me...

Leobebes, Forgive me. I'm a little techno-slow, but Is there a way to clear my cache (like temporary internet files?) on the 360, or did you mean on the PC that my internet is also connected to?

There is a way to clear the cache on your 360.

Go to the system blade and then select memory.

Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?

Performing this function will also clear any software updates.

You don't have to do that anymore. Just go to the HDD select screen, press Y, and then press "Clear System Cache"

They added that in a recent update.

Regardless of what the picture quality may be like compared to other devices, this will be a very convenient solution for many people. I already have a spare PC attached to the TV, but I can see using this myself just so I don't have to boot up the computer every time I want to watch a movie. Besides, I'm not sure I really need to see whatever horrible romantic comedy the fiance chooses to inflict on me in HD.

Finally! Wonder if the streaming disc will work with USB loaders. No biggie if it can't - not like I've loaded off of an optical disc in months, anyway.

Too bad they won't let us have a channel on the Wii desktop.

Will they block streaming from Canadian IPs like they did with Xbox after a few months it was released?
