As long as the rocket puzzle is easier, I'll be happy.

It's exactly the same.

You forgot to mention this also has another age, too.

Still one of my favorites back in the day I remember playing this game on the 3DO. But honestly as much as I love it, I can not see myself buying it again just because I remember how much a bitch some of those puzzles were.

Those puzzles are easier to figure out than why you bought/owned a 3DO.

Why? Who didn't want to own a 3DO when it came out. If you are comparing it to today's console yeah it sucked but you can say that with any old system.

I didn't want a 3D0 when it came out. If it makes you feel better, I also didn't want a TurboGraphix 16 when it came out either. :)

Ah, realMYST, good old times.
Anybody that's familiar with this game should know that it hasn't been working on Vista and hence neither on Windows 7. It even had problems on XP occasionally. Microsoft isn't to blame here, the game had a stupid bug that prevented it from starting most of the time. Unsurprisingly, the developer and publisher did nothing to fix the issue, it was discovered and fixed by a fan, someone called Jehon.
GoG is claiming Vista compatibility for realMYST, it'll be interesting to see if they'll use the patched exe file by Jehon or if they properly updated and recompiled the game. I hope it'll be the latter, but I fear they might be too lazy for that...

Oh, there's a fan patch? I still have the original and would love to run it again.

I've never played it. Will do so now. The music I hear is pretty sweet.
