Now, is this Tecmo Bowl, the original, or Tecmo SUPER Bowl, which is pictured above? HUUUGE difference, as the original does not have near the level of replayability and fun of SUPER. Please find out for us ASAP. I believe wii has the original, which is lame.

This is exactly what I want to know. It seems like the people that praise Tecmo Bowl never played Tecmo Super Bowl. If they did they'd realize that the fact that you could play a full season with all of the teams AND your season stats were tracked made TSB head and shoulders better than the original TB. Plus you had eight plays on offense and defense to choose from as opposed to the original which only gave the option of 4 on each side of the ball (I can still remember San Fran only have one run play to 3 pass).

Please get to the bottom of this, it is a HUGE diffence!

There's even team customization, ensuring your lifelong dream of creating a horribly out-of-shape and uncompetitive Chief's team is a real possibility.

Guys, the post says remake of the NES game, Tecmo Bowl. I didn't mention word one of the SNES game. You guys are really giving that jump to conclusions map a workout tonight!

Anywho, I changed the post image so there's no more confusion.

He said jump to conclusions MAP LOL...

the NES had a "super" bowl with licensed teams, rosters and full season play. Maybe you are jumping to conclusions?

Wow are you serious man? Super Tecmo Bowl is NES lol...it was the first to actually use the real NFL teams, where as Tecmo Bowl only had a few teams with the city names only. It actually had a season mode with the schedule and everything already made out instead of the random game picks on Tecmo Bowl. It also happens to be my favorite sports game of all time. In all fairness they did remake it on the SNES, Genesis, and PS without changing its name. I wish they would make a remake but damn EA for having the NFL in their pocket.

Actually Veign it wasn't the first to use real team and players, the first one did as well. I can still remember using Walter Payton and Mike Singletary on the Bears. What the original didn't have was ALL the teams.

Yea I knew it had the players (though not as in depth like TSB right?) and I knew it didn't have all the teams but wasnt sure if it had the names of teams. I could remember it having the city names, wasnt sure if it had the actual full names. Did it not have the logos or something like that? Last version I played was the crappy WiiWare one and it has be confused about what is actually in the original. TSB far superior on every level IMO though lol. :)

It's a pretty easy mistake. Considering how many SNES games had 'Super' in them.

umm unless you have the real rosters, its a fake remake.. nintendo already reposted the original tecmo bowl on the VC ages ago, but had to remove all names from it b/c a certain company has a monopoly on those names.. (cough EA cough)

Dang. He changed the picture to the original. Super WAS on NES, and is light years ahead of non-super. SUPER would be a guaranteed buy for me and at least 10 friends I know personally. Non-super MIGHT be a buy for basically just me, and that's a stretch. Scared, I am.

I emailed Tecmo that they should re-release Tecmo Super Bowl and not this one as TSB was far superior. You should do the same.
