I just played the SNES version the other day, actually. Playwise, it's pretty much identical, but the sounds and voices just seem off. I liked the NES version better.

Of course, I'm also more familiar with the stats in the NES version. Wow, there were some good teams. While the 49ers were probably the best overall team, I loved playing as the Chiefs to use Christian Okoye and mow over people. And Derrick Thomas on defense!

And the Oilers were insane. Warren Moon + three receivers with a 75 in receptions? Madness.

Regarding TSB, I hope they fix the fact that you couldn't get more than 99 points in a game! It simply stopped keeping count. Like Y2K before Y2K was cool. Also, it would lose track if you get more than 4096 (8^4) yards in a season. I think I passed that in the 10th week, with Jerry rice, naturally.

BTW, is there anybody out there who used the niners, and didn't juggle the roster to move Jerry to the top-screen receiver?

If it's anything like the DS version that came out, it won't have the team or player names, since they don't have the NFL license.
