Because Wii owners don't buy their damn games. Doesn't matter if there are a billion Wii's out there because they only buy games from Nintendo. Duh.

Maybe if their games didn't suck compared to the competition, Wii owners would buy them.

Plenty of awesome 3rd party titles haven't sold squat on the Wii because you hardcore WIi gamers are a very vocal minority. The non-core gamers that push Wii software don't buy 3rd party offerings. Thats not a problem on the other platforms and in fact 3rd party software outsells furst party software.

If it doesn't sell it always sucks, it niche, wasn't marketed etc etc ... always an excuse instead of just admitting the truth: Wii gamers aren't interested in 3rd party titles.

That's because third parties have failed to put compelling software on the Wii.

How many of those third party games did YOU buy?

I really hate Nintendo. So long as hardware makers don't follow suit the next generation and come out with some gimmickey kid focused piece of crap we'll be ok.

people are interpreting the sales figures wrong. people buy for the holidays. if you put november and december together, the 360 clearly outsold the ps3 over the holidays. and the wii put the smackdown on everyone.

lol, seems like kids still make up most of the wii demographic. the wii does have much more kid-friendly games than 360/ps3.

As for third parties abandoning the Wii, yes we have seen some comments come from UBisoft, Capcom, and Sega lately, yet UbiSoft is making a surprise killing with Just Dance and actually marketing it, and just announced Prince of Persia and Raving Rabbids 4 on top of upcoming Red Steel 2 - and perhaps they'll end up publishing No More Heroes 2 in some regions -- and you've got SEGA working on more sports titles, All Stars Racing, and maybe even Project Needlemeouse or Madworld 2 for the Wii, and Capcom gearing up for it's biggest Wii Releases yet, with Monster Hunter 3 and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, as well as Ace Attorney and Mega Man 10 on WiiWare.

On top of these third parties offering cont'd support of the Wii despite trepidations, we've seen steady support, especially from Eastern 3rd parties that have been staunch supporters of the Wii such as Bandai Namco, who have Tales of the World, more Naruto gaemes, and just launched Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces.

And good ol' Hudson Soft, who are delivering us perhaps there best year yet with the Bonk: Age of Extinction, Military Madness Nectaris, a second Bomeberman Blast all making appearances on Wii Ware, as well as J-horror title Calling and Ico-esque Tower of Shadow being Wii retail/disc game exclusives, as well as more accessible titles like a sequel to Hard Working People, Rooms the Game, and rumors of them finally returning for Mario Party 10.

There are plenty of other smaller studios and once-giant Japanese firms still working on the Wii, but you get the point.

I totally concede that the Wii s lacking in Western RPG, action and FPS titles, but 'd say that especially if you're into more old skool and Eastern style games, the Wii is still getting enough third party support.
