"A place where lots of skateboarding can be done"

In light of that Sherlock Holmes game being announced for the 360 I give you this....

NO SHIT SHERLOCK!

I love Joystiq.

I presume, being it on the 360, it will be a first person shooter?

i dont get it...are you making fun of it because there are banners of skate companies up in the trailer? if that was a real skate park you could bet the farm that there would be just as many sponsor banners if not more.

I'm pretty sure (meaning I'm absolutely sure) that David was referring to the excessive closeups of the sponsor banners, the scene transitions that fill the screens with the sponsor's names, and how there were no less than two sponsors in every single shot. There almost wasn't any skating in it, let alone gameplay.

BOY OH BOY, DO WE APPRECIATE OUR SPONSORS. THEY GAVE US SOME MUNNY.

Meh, not enough colorful streams of light coming off Player 1 as he does a misty flip 500 feet off the ground.

Well the park is a recreation of the training facility of those particular brands, seems rather normal that they would be in the trailer.

I put so many hours into the first skate, brilliant game with one of the best open-world designs out there... but Skate 2 did absolutely nothing for me. Hope there's a demo again, because I'm back in skeptic mode for the series.

So is it a stand-alone demo or do you get it when the game comes out?

Those are all Black Box Distribution companies, and that's their warehouse indoor park.

Slave Skateboards
Fallen Footwear
Zero Skateboards

Black Box also has Mystery Skateboards under it's helm, but I didn't see that in the trailer at all. Hmm...

I miss the days when you could buy a game and have the whole thing and not have to pre-order a specific version on a specific console, then buy the release day DLC.

I'm with you but I fear we're the minority. Bioware with Dragon Age effectively said games are now $20-30 more expensive, or you release a cut-down, incomplete version and still charge the consumer full-price. And based on sales of that title, it seems like the public are prepared to pay a lot more for their games, so this is going to become a lot more frequent.

That said, BioWare can go fuck a bike with their cliche ass games.

Miadaskate; yeah, Mystery wasn't in it but Thrasher was. I think it should have been switched but oh well. At least there was a Mystery board in there.

Day one purchase. I zone out while playing Skate more than any other game. It's a great escape....and frustrating as hell sometimes.

I'm glad (and kinda surprised) to see that two different people actually know that Black Box is also the name of a skate distributor. What a wonderful coincidence that two different company's names could result in the best skate gear on the planet nabbing an exclusive spot in what will likely be an amazing game.

I think I might pre-order this as this is relevant to my interests.

For the first time ever, I'm going to pre-order for a bonus. I imagine that I can also pre-order this from a place that isn't gamestop and get this, yeah?

Yeah, why would you wanna? You could go to Colorado or teh Poconos and snowboard with that shi*.

Oh, wait... I see the problem... not being able to go and snowboard there... and of course, unless you're in Canada, it don't snow 365.25 days a year. I would see why you would ask a question such as that.
