There's just one Team Fortress 2 class that's scraping by without the support of post-launch additional content: The hard hatted, begoggled Engineer. It makes sense that Valve will get to the crafty class sooner or later -- but many have wondered whether the developer will keep expanding on the title once the Engineer's update goes live. Fortunately, a Community Fortress interview with Valve's Robin Walker confirmed that new TF2 content would drop before and after the final class gets its new equipment.
When pressed about the studio's post-Engineer plans, Walker explained, "we've got multiple updates in the works still, at least one of which will land before the Engineer pack." He later added, "as always, we haven't planned too much out beyond that point, because we want to see what feedback we get from the community." Well, community? What would you like to see? Some new weapons? Different styles of hats? Any support whatsoever for the console versions of the game?

The Medic's VA, Robin Atkins Downes, is a very busy guy. And now he's trolling everyone that wants to see him do "Meet the Medic". So... yeah.

They really need to make Frontier an official map. It's hands down the best community map I've played. I'd even say it's better than some of the stock maps.

I really want the Engineer pack. It's my favorite class to play but without unlocking anything it seems completely useless to even bother.
Also I think the update is taking so long because they can't figure out how to give him more stuff without making him/his turret even MORE overpowered.

Can you PLEASE just slightly in any possible way support the console versions valve?!?! I love TF2, I really do, but my PC can't handle it and the 360 is my only way to play it. but it gets really boring playing it when I go to my buddies house and see how much is on the PC that isn't on the 360.
didn't they say they were gonna update the console version eventually? did they just drop it and hope no one would notice because the community is basically dead save for me and my friends (it seems that way)? I'm very frustrated with this...

Ever played it on the PS3? That, my friend, is a dead community. Now quit being poor and Irish and buy yourself a semi-decent computer to play TF2 on, it's not like it needs some crazy amount of power to run.

Pretty sure they said that with the 360's limited memory, they can't make a significant update. Just give up, really. It's been over 2 years.

Yeah basically any computer can run it. Mine's from 2004 and I still have most things on high, just had to lower shaders, shadows, AA, etc.

They still make decent profits with this, it's just most developers can't seem to think beyond direct first month/year sales = money, everything else = not money.
Stuff like this would work wonders for Rock Band 2, but Harmonix is dense as shit.

The funny thing is, I would totally be willing to pay $20/year to play TF2. It's just that awesome.

I'd like to see them go over all the 9 classes at once and bring each's update pack up to about the same level.
Valve has learned more about what to do with each class patch, and older ones are a bit outdated now compared to what the newer ones pulled off.
Just one big renovation.

As I recall, the Medic was the first one updated, and the Medic's stuff has been rebalanced:
1. The Medic's healing rate has been bumped up. Equipping the Blutsauger lowers it to its old rate. I believe the Blutsauger can do critical hits now, too.
2. The Kritzkrieg is working as intended.
3. The Ubersaw now has a taunt kill. Otherwise, it's working as intended (afaik, it's the most widely used of the Medic's weapons.)
The Heavy was second updated.
1. The Natascha has been changed more times than I can remember.
2. Sandvich was changed, too. it now heals more health, plus you can right-click to throw it for someone else.
3. The K.G.B. works just fine. The only catch is that you lose the Fist's taunt kill.
4. There's been betas of a set of Heavy gloves that make the Heavy move faster, but have a constant HP drain...
Pyro makes three
1. The Backburner lost its health buff. Which was necessary only in that it gave Pyros more health than everyone except Heavy.
2. The Flare Gun does exactly what it's supposed to do.
3. The Axtinguisher is really useful in close quarters, but only if the opponent is on fire. Seeing as this is a Pyro weapon, I would certainly *hope* the enemy is on fire.
Scout:
1. The FAN has been rebalanced over and over and over, and is currently in one of its broken states again. What exactly was wrong with the enemy knockback it had before?
2. Bonk Atomic Punch is useful in certain situations, but I certainly wouldn't trade my pistol for it.
3. The Sandman should be called the Nerf Bat now, as it's the most useless of the upgrades in its current state. I know some people hated the stun effect, but it was the only real reason to use it. Now, not only has the stun effect been changed to one where the enemy can still move, it lasts a lot shorter time.
Spy
1. The Ambassador is working as intended.
2. The Cloak and Dagger is working as intended.
3. The Dead Ringer has been nerfed/unnerfed so many times I've lost count. It seems to have reached a balance this time, so hopefully Valve will keep it this way.
Oh, and it helps that most of the time the corpses look real now, unlike the 1/4 or worse rate they used to have.
4. Spotted in Beta were two versions of a flame resistant suit, that would take the place of the Spy's gun slot. I'm personally not sure that it's needed.
Sniper
1. The Huntsman is working as intended.
2. Jarate works as intended.
3. The Razorback is weak. You only really need it if the enemy has a lot of Spies. So... a replacement of some sort for this would be great!
Soldier:
1. The Direct Hit does way too much damage. There's little reason not to use it, as you get way more kills with it than with the normal RL. This is even after the in-air nerf. At close range, the DH does around 120-140 damage, which kills Scout, Spy, Engineer, and Sniper in one hit most of the time. At a distance, it still does around the mid-50s in damage.
2. The Buff Banner got nerfed once, which was then reversed, then it got a major buff. It now needs a nerf again, as it's too easy to charge for anyone skilled as Soldier.
3. The Equalizer desperately needs a nerf, as it does the same as or more damage as the Shovel. In other words, it's a replacement rather than an alternative, as there's no longer any need for the Shovel.
Demoman
1. The Scottish Resistance is an interesting concept on paper, but I'm not so sure it's working out that well.
2. The Chargin' Targe is something I like, but only if you're using it along with...
3. The Eyelander is an interesting melee weapon. It's not as useful now that people are getting used to its presence, but interesting none-the-less.
Engineer
1. The Engineer's Dispenser and Teleporter got upgraded a while back when level 2 and 3 versions were added. Also, sapping one end of a teleporter now saps both ends. Whether that's an advantage or not remains to be seen.
2. Seen in Beta was the PDQ... a wrench that doubles the Engineer's build speed, but doesn't allow him to upgrade buildings. This could be useful in several situations. However, it is not said if his buildings simply can't be upgraded or if another engineer can still upgrade them. I'm assuming the latter.
TLDR;
The Scout's unlocks are weak and need upgrading, the Soldier's unlocks are strong and need nerfing.

To bring you up to speed:
The FaN had it's knockback restored. It works somewhat like the Flamethrower's compression, but I've been experiencing some inconsistent results with it.
Also, you neglected to mention that the Flare Gun now encumbers its target with Mini-Crit status.

Because they keep using the beta picture. Seriously, they need to replace it. Sometimes they use the correct picture, sometimes they use that beta picture.
They said way back at the release of the first update that after they were done, they would keep adding unlockables for all of the classes.
Also, they said way back the reason they hadn't released any updates to the XBox360 was that they wanted to get all of the updates out before, and that they were already at the limit as far as the system's RAM went, and would have to work to get the updates to fit into the RAM.

The xbox 360 has a partioned sector of memory that is for updates, these are only available if you have a hard-drive or memory unit. They are saying that they are unable to update the xbox 360 though a normal update so they would have to make it downloadable content which i am happy for if they do that, but so far their options are pretty slim.

I hope they give the Engineer some sort of Cloaking device for the Sentry....or a Sniper upgrade for it to hit people on the other side of the map...or some sort of automatic sapper zapper....

A level three sentry can be taken out with a single shot from the Direct Hit. The engie needs some sort of protection from this.

less hats... i dont give a shit about those.. I cant even seem to get any hats... no idea what i have to do to get them.. i play for hours almost every night and i only keep getting weapons i already have.. I think i have a million cans of bonk.. Im only interested in more weapons, more (good)stock maps, and more instant respawn servers that actually have people playing in them..
that and more servers playing the new game modes.. I loved koth_sawmill... instant respawn ( or quick respawn ) but no one seems interested in that.. they just wanna play the same damn 2fort and dustbowl over and over again.
