You know, I miss the Gameboy Advance. it was such an awesome system, but then the SP came and blew it out of the water and everyone forgot about it...I still have 4 advances, 3 of which fell and got black ink splot looking things on their screen.

Cool and all, but I hate not having physical buttons. For typing or gaming.

I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this. Perhaps because I knew (with slight disappointment in my heart) that the buttons wouldn't work and thus wouldn't live up to my hopes and dreams...

I wonder when Nintendo is going to bring the Game Boy brand back. With both the Wii and the DS, they've run themselves in to a tight corner (as they did with the NES to SNES, SNES to N64 and N64 to GameCube transitions...) because once there are motion controls (or dual screens or whatever other feature) the next generation of console will be expected to at least match the previous generation and the Game Boy brand isn't synonymous with more than one screen...

Somewhat sad really.

That's stupid... it would be cool if the buttons for the GBA worked.

I remember how upset people were when GBA didn't have four buttons - that would make it capable of direct ports from SNES. Then years down the road PSP releases with only one analog stick that prevents straight ports from playstations home consoles.

Those who do not learn from history - are forced to repeat it I suppose.

"that would make it capable of direct ports from SNES" No, it had a much lower resolution.

There were ports of SNES games to the GBA. For instance, all 3 Donkey Kong Country Games and Super Mario World. I'm pretty sure there were more but those are the only ones that are coming to mind right now.

@totaly_sharky
Zelda: Link to the Past
Yoshi's Island
Breath of Fire
Breath of Fire II
Tales of Symphonia
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI

and i'm not sure if it really counts, but Mario Kart: Super Circuit had all the original courses from Super Mario Kart.

Wow, I just spent like 10 minutes looking at people "side talkin'". I don't know why they were side talkin' but it was funny!
