Left 4 Dead 2 for $35 today, lightning game deals on Amazon

We may not have been huge fans of Left 4 Dead 2 (except for Xav!), but you might be tempted to try it for yourself through Amazon today where you can pick up this Deal of the Day for just $35 on Xbox 360 or $28 on PC.

Additionally, Amazon's Gold Box is featuring video game Lightning Deals throughout the day. Currently, the standard edition of Fallout 3 is going fast (for $18), but seven more deals are queued up. We only have hints as to what they'll be -- the next one sounds a heckuva lot like Assassin's Creed II [update: it is -- for $38.98] -- but if "the original zombie killing hit" teased for 5PM ET today doesn't turn out to be the Amiga/DOS classic Horror Zombies from the Crypt, somebody's getting sued for false advertising.

Make it Under 25 CANADIAN dollars and we got a deal.

There's like less than a 5 cent difference between the Canada and US dollar.

Just because there's a 5 cent difference doesn't mean 28 for you is 28.05 for me...

I got the game for Christmas and haven't even played it yet...

I don't see Mass Effect in that. That line has always had Star Wars connotations.

I bought the original Left 4 Dead on PC when it came out, but never ended up playing online or single player for more than an hour or two. Seemed kind of interesting at first, but its just another zombie game.

$15 too much. Original is far better.

Why would the original be far better when it doesn't have a chainsaw?

The original is easy as Hell. Just sit at a corner and spam the RMB whenever you're in trouble. Works every time!
That doesn't fly in this one, though... not with the new Special Infected.

PS: $35? Great deal!

SONofa...was going to preorder Mass Effect 2 Collector's Edition as well, but it's out of stock??? Is there any good reason to get it over the regular edition? (besides the much better cover art)

There is a lot of extras in it too. Get it from the EA Store, they're usually the last to run out. Amazon wasn't giving the credit with it anyway.

It seems like the only in game extras are armor and a weapon. Seems pretty weak. I never watch the other extras, and felt kind of ripped off by the DA CE.

No. Now that it's public that the Cerberus Card comes in all editions, I'm canceling my CE preorder from Best Buy for a normal pre-order.

Damn sweet price for the PC. I wish I waited I bought mine for $35 during the Steam Holiday sale.

$35 is good, I get a lot of fun out of it. However, they didn't fix many issues with the original so I wouldn't pay full price for it. They continually strike out with the server/connection issues too so I won't be buying L4D3 at full price (if at all)

If I hadn't just gotten the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 I would have gotten the standard version this morning.

Great game so far. As the first RPG I've played in years, it's an interesting way to get back in the genre.

You guys keep linking to your horrible review that everyone hated. I, for one, would like to know why.

At this point I think they're just trying to piss us off.

the game was "too" hard. noobs.

Dragon Age is also a killer deal. Be forewarned, you will lose a week + of you life upon insertion of the disk
