There were some spoilers in the KZ2 launch trailer as well. Damn communists.

The only semi-spoiler seems to be Ashley, but its common sense that either her or Kaidan would have showed up in ME2 along with the other surviving characters.

It does have a number of spoilers, but it really is too good not to watch. I'm pretty sure it's the greatest video game trailer I've ever seen, and really raised the bar for future game trailers.
It's going to be a very long 5 days :(

Like having a Geth party member? Just a conjecture based on one scene in the trailer, but I feel strongly about it.

Yeah that's Legion, a party member. He was kind of unveiled a long time ago by Bioware, but they didn't really show him off like they have other party members. It's almost like they decided to show him off, but then immediately regretted that decision because it might have been too spoilery.
I'm just glad if you have him and Tali that they're going to show the tension of having them both. Wouldn't have made much sense if he joins your party and Tali acts like she doesn't even notice.

If that's true, it's BioWare pulling ideas from KotOR again. Not that that's bad.

It's a fantastic trailer. Not just due to the clips but the music just sells it. Not ME2 unfortunately:

They did essentially the same thing by having a Cathar Jedi and a Mandalorian in your party, and they fought all the time as well. That leap talent everyone was so excited about? That's the Force Leap that the Jedi Guardian class had in KotOR.
See my point?

I do see your logic, but by those standards, all inter party quarrels are leeching off Kotor. Like for instance, in Dragon age, Alistar was a Templar (Before he became a grey warden) and Morrigan was a Dark witch. Exact opposites, so they would fight when ever they were together.
Personally, I would be disappointed if they didn't have the opposites in your party, as it really adds to the immersion, and experience all together.

I didn't say that was bad. It's what helps differentiate a BioWare game from the rest.

Party quarrels? taken from kotor? no no no good sir. it was taken from baldur's gate. In that game, they would have bickering and if they really hated each other they both broke party and started killing each other. monteron and xzar vs. khalid and jahiera. happened a couple times and had to reload.
force leap was single target the new charge ability seems like to have area effect on the point of impact.
I think most interesting thing is how close Wrex is to Canderous Ordo in history and personality.

I completely agree with you about your thoughts on Legion. I think the Geth are the coolest thing since sliced bread so you can imagine my excitement about the plot surrounding Legion. But immediately after seeing it I was wishing Bioware hadn't revealed it.

Lies, all lies.... What about when DLC hits, the GOTY edition comes out or if this game ends up as a Joystiq award nominee...
I don't really care either way because I haven't been watching the trailers. I don't want the details of the game to spoil the gameplay for me so I've just been skimming over the articles and not watching the videos.

Good move. Although I've enjoyed all the trailers, I must say that one did spoil something really huge for me. FYI if you ever read something about "Legion" or the Geth, run away!

Ashley lives! Wonder if that'll be Kaidan in her place, if you chose to save his pathetic ass? I'm anxious to see what effect all of my choices in the first game will have, especially the little details. I'm glad I just went back for another playthrough of ME1 a couple of months ago, otherwise there's no way I would remember all of it.
This right here is probably ME2's best trailer yet. It's fitting that they saved it for last. Incredibly stoked for next week's release.

Ashley was only there because that playthrough had Ashley surviving ME 1 (barring some sort of plot shocker in 2). I dunno if Kaiden will be there in the other way around, as that might be a specific plot point made just for Ashley if she survived 1.
For those who don't know if you didn't play 1 or don't have a save, you can actually pick the big choices from 1 when you start up a new game in 2 and go from there.

From what i managed to gather, Ashley/Kaidan are interchangeable in ME2, Tali comes back to the group and Urdnot Wrex, the best of the support characters imo is on Krogan Homeworld, trying to unite the clans there. Not sure about the turian, think he is back as a non-group npc, might be wrong though. Liara is cant join the group , im 100% certain of that.

Right, I'm sure if your Ashley got killed than that will be someone else during that point in the game (hence, my namedrop of Kaidan).
I might start a new game and *not* import my save just to see what plot points it lets you choose.

Garrus is a party member again in 2. Rumors are that he's also romanceable for female Shepards (which is really fucking wierd), but those are unconfirmed.

Thats not strictly true...Blu-Rays have 3 regions- US(NA and SA)/Japan , EU/AU (+Africa and Middle East) and Asia (Russia, India, China and all the other insignificant ones). As for Xbox, well, its a DVD, so I would imagine that there would be region divides like with every other type of dvd...
The thing with Blu-Rays, the differences are in hardware, not software, so if you want to play disk of a different region, you need to import that regions software, which is a bit of a bummer for those of us back in EU, 'cause US releases are above and beyond ours ones.
