Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker PSP bundles revealed

The excitement over those two Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP bundles was tempered somewhat by the fact that they were revealed in one tiny, blurry magazine scan. Now that Konami has released images of both camo PSP sets, nothing is stopping us from our blissful retail fantasies. Can't you just imagine buying one?

Like the Portable Ops packs before them, these are two different bundles. The ¥26,980 (~$295) "Premium Package" includes a PSP-3000, Peace Walker, a camouflage cleaning cloth (so you can remove fingerprints from the screen incognito), a carrying case, and a wrist strap. The ¥36,980 (~$400) "Konamistyle Package" (pictured above), only available from Konami's website, includes the same PSP and cleaning cloth, a leather case and strap, a neat-looking, numbered PSP stand, numbered dog tags, and a booklet.

that is one pimped out psp. Might have to buy this, but I love my PSP so dearly, I don't want to sell it to gamestop for $20.

That stand is epic...

You know what's not epic: Gamers who continue to use the word "Epic". Normal people don't use it in real-life social situations.

I just took a few days off of Joystiq and the internet. It's good to take a break from that stuff every now and then. You could try sometime.

honestly, the only people I see using the word epic in normal conversation (I mean, conversations not between friends and such) are the socially awkward types.

I witnessed one such individual hit on a really hot girl with that word amongst other lines. God bless him for not fake and changing his game for a pretty face.

Sarcastic speech is an art-form largely based on body language and tone, neither of which are effectively communicated in written text. I hate when people pull the sarcasm card for written responses.

I'm not a fan of camouflage, but that PSP does look badass.

Metal Gear has a pretty long history of awesome special editions, but they're almost always limited to Japan.

SO MUCH AWESOME STUFF. It was actually going to come with a pack of Snake's cigarettes, too, but they decided at last minute that might be a bad idea.

That MGS1 Premium Package was available wordwide. I'm not sure you got the Meryl figure in the world wide version but I remember seeing that package in a gamestore when i was about 10 for £50 ($70) and it seemed so expensive then and obviously at 10 i didnt have a job so couldnt afford but now I am 19 and into collecting MGS stuff, I have a job but now that package cost like £200 ($250) USED! which is expensive even with a job especially when its used.

So dissapointing!

Agreed. They should have gone gunmetal gray like special edition PS3 they released with Guns... with a silk-screened image of some sort.

probably would get that bundle, if i hadn't just locked down a new kingdom hearts psp they just released as well.

Great, now I have gaming on the go when my dad drags me to go deer hunting and there is nary a deer in sight...until I drop it off the tree stand, then I'm screwed...again...

This is all over one of the sexiest bundles I've seen. The bag is a bit metrosexual though. However the biggest failing is of course the fact that it's a PSP! Who want's that!

Which is more likely to attract the opposite sex: Being "metrosexual" or being a "nerd"?
