Not to be outclassed by larger companies in the gaming industry, indie dev studio The Behemoth has announced its own initiative for helping out with recovery efforts in Haiti. Any revenue brought in by DLC purchases for Castle Crashers or Alien Hominid on XBLA will go directly to the Red Cross. The promotion is titled "The Behemoth Super Haiti Chicken Super Charity," because, hey, what else would you call it?
The folks at Behemoth also plan to match this sum of money with some of their own, coming directly from their pockets, wallets and bank accounts. That's quite generous of them -- why not show your own support by picking up some DLC for Alien Hominid or Castle Crashers before the promotion ends next Sunday?

This is a serious thing with people dying daily and you come out with that stupid statement. I give these guys extra credit since their revenue affects them much more so than bungies lame attempt.

If they really cared, they would release their items on the PS3 and give full profits to Haiti.
And people die daily of starvation and other causes all over the world, Why only help them when theres an earthquake.

Careful, you're not allowed to express anything but undying support for Haiti around here. I got banned last week for expressing my disgust that we continue to ignore our people but rush to support someone else's.

I'm appalled at what I'm seeing here. One idiot wants a game out of this disaster and another idiot thinks our government is doing too much to help when in fact donations from INDIVIDUALS account for more than 80% of the relief efforts in Haiti.
Nice job guys.

@Tmac Have you ever been to Haiti, cause if not then STFU! I have been there and poorest person here lives better than most over there. I've been in people's houses where their doors are sheets and their roofs are made from flattened out aluminum cans. They are lucky if they get electricity for 2 uninterrupted days, lucky because usually its once every other day for only a few hours. I did free dental work there and those people are always grateful and would offer me things that I know they couldn't afford as payment (eg. live chickens). Yet help some ungrateful prick( eg. Tmac) here on welfare (eg. not Tmac) and all they want to know is why they can't get more from the system.

You're not going to get me to say anything more on the matter. I'm not getting banned twice over Haiti of all things.

Put Castle Crashers on PS3 tonight, and I'll donate 15 bucks to Haiti, if you know what I mean, Behemoth!

I personally don't like donating for causes like this, mainly because I have no clue where my money really goes. (I read somewhere that there is still around a million sitting in a bank account for Tsunami Relief somewhere).
However, If you're paying for something the same and the receiving end does whatever with their money, that's pretty noble.

There is still $500 million sitting unused earmarked for the 2004 tsunami. The reason it can't be touched is because people who donated said with thier donation that it had to be used for disaster relief related to that tsunami. Legally, the red cross can't touch it and the moral of the story isn't that you shouldn't donate, it's that you shouldn't earmark your donations, so they can be used for future disasters if they don't get used for the current one.
As for knowing where your money goes? there are plenty of websites and organizations (such as forbes) who have already done that research for you, just look it up. If you want a specific one though, I would highly recomend DirectRelief International. They have stated in no uncertain terms that 100% of your donation will go to disaster relief efforts. Specifically they supply Doctors Without Borders with their medical supplies, as well as two or three other medical aid organizations. If you're curious to see them at work, they've teamed up with reddit and are giving regular updates on how the money from the reddit fundraising effort is being used.

Cool move on Behemoth's part.
I commented on Behemoth's original post to see if the full game download counted as "DLC" because I wouldn't mind picking up Alien Hominid HD. I didn't get a response back, so I guess it's limited to add-on packs and picture packs for now, which have been confirmed.
I'll guess I'll stick with CC DLC and pic packs!

I don't know, this is probably the worst example of trying to get people to buy your stuff under the pretense of having an objective cause yet.
Just straight donate to a reliable foundation, guys. It ensures your money is actually getting put where it should be and also isn't inflating someone else's number ticker on their products.

I love how the internet takes a small comment and blows it out of porportion.
I dont have a 360 (anymore), though I love the idea of a product I want also goes to a good cause.
The rest of these replies are pointless
