Koei released a new trailer for the latest PSP Dynasty Warriors game, Multi Raid 2, today. Multi Raid (known as Strikeforce in America) features weird fantasy monsters, transformations, and, most importantly, ad hoc multiplayer. And maybe it's just us, but this trailer briefly makes the series look ... kind of cool (specifically when it shows that army of glowy-eyed dudes). See the trailer after the break.
If the trailer made you want to try the game, good news! Koei just made a Japanese demo available from its website. Download away! Something tells us you won't need to read a lot of text to understand what's going on (since what's going on is you mashing buttons to kill thousands of soldiers).
"Oh hey, a Dynasty Warriors demo, I think I'll get on the PSN and tr-"
"PSP GAME"
GOD DAMN IT, TWICE TODAY
Also, in before a million people blahblahing about "How every game is exactly the same hurdeflorp" and the DW fans not giving pursuit in a display of apathy.
Strikeforce seems interesting because it's like a Dynasty-focused Warriors Orochi, and granted part of why I love WO is the crossover combos, but regardless I still love the style of WO so it's got my attention.
It isnt. You play on your own against 5 or 10 soldiers per area. Its made for multiplayer but the first didnt have it. It was you, vs about 5 or 10 soldiers. no allies and no epic feeling of war the other DW games have. The Console versions of Strikeforce will have online though, so im hoping that fixes it for me. Im a massive DW fan but Strikeforce just didnt feel epic or fun.
Actually, according to the trailer's narration and text, it has both Ad-Hoc and Network (which I assume is a synonym for Infrastructure) support. I'm curious if the multiplayer is required for the demo, though, since the trailer actually starts out with the narrator saying "That enemy can't be beaten by a single person."
I tried the first Strikeforce's demo and could not reach the end. I don't remember if it was because I didn't try it more than once, but I got fed up with something about the gameplay (being hit by enemies I couldn't see? Not having any idea where to go?) and just deleted it.
dude, whoever couldnt beat strikeforce singlely sucks. this game wasnt even hard. it just took stratagy and being able to dodge real well. i dont see why ppl say this game is hard in single player mode, u guys must suck
