$4?!?! is that all!?!?

Well Damn I wont complain at all. Especially when people like EA like to charge $10+ to unlock basic shit thats already in a game...

And part of me wants to jump on this when it comes out next week but then part of me wants to wait til February when the other is released and get them both for a discounted price. As I am sure they will be bundled together then.

Good shit none the less, and from the look of that video the 2nd DLC will allow you to get to the Flying machine again....good news for those that missed that trophy/achievement...lol

finally, $4 seems about right

considering there are what 14 sequences? at four dollars that is $56

I hate paying $10 for 1/14th of a game....I'm looking at you borderlands.

Ace. These both look great, I was hugely disappointed by the fact that Machiavelli just popped up near the end and that was it, so hopefully they'll flesh him out a bit.

Also, am I the only person who wants to be friends with Patrice Désilets? He just seems so jolly and friendly and enthusiastic...

That looks awsome. i loved the game, ill definately be buying this. But i was kind of hoping for some kind of multiplayer. Why couldnt they add something like a teamed assassination, or something like that.

@ WREturns i disagree completely. this game stands well without it, but if it had multiplayer i think that could only make it better. besides, without multiplayer, it almost seems like some of the game is missing

Yes, every game should have its own version of capture the flag. That makes total sense and will add to the game much more than a fantastic story and great gameplay.

i think that they should make assassins creed 3 so you can choose who you are friends with. as much as i liked number 2 i think it would be more exciting if during the talking scenes, you where able to choose what you say. kind of like fallout 3

Just started playing this game, did the first 3 DNA sequences.

I absolutely love the design and the ambition of this game. Exploring the detailed model of Florence is very cool.

However, I'm finding the framerate and the controls to be a little janky. It breaks the immersion a little bit, and playing for a couple of hours makes me tired. I don't get the visceral enjoyment from stalking/fighting that I do from a game like Arkham Asylum.

Open-world games with lots of people walking around are always going to be more taxing graphically. But I'm looking forward to the next generation when a game like Assassin's Creed 2 can run at a smooth 60fps.

Just wait until you get to Venice. Makes the other places seem drab by comparison.

I also wonder if any of the DLC will give me any more trophies. I am 7 feathers short of 100, which means I almost have the platinum.

I agree totally especially with the controls problem, doing the tombs was really annoying at times because of delayed reactions and you'd be jumping off the course when you were trying to go a completely different way.

I know right! I love doing that! I also love disarming the guards and using their own weapons against them. My favorite weapon is the spear...until it gets chopped in half by the guard with the ax...the way that Ezio kills him with the broken pieces is simply amazing!

See Rockstar?
This is how much a dlc episode should cost.
Not $20.
I would be fully prepared to give $20 if they add Rome or Milan just as I'm fully prepared to pay $4 for some new missions in Forli.

The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony were worth every penny. If this AC2 dlc takes around 20 hours to complete I'd gladly pay $20 for it as well.

Both L&D AND GT were massively overpriced.
They would've been worth $20 a pop if they added a new island with each.

What other DLC have you payed $20 for?
The most I've spent is $10 for a few of the Fallout 3 dlc packs and each of those came with hours of missions and a new area to explore; one of which was huge.

That's worth the price.

I for one am glad that not every publisher is following rockstar in their absurd pricing schemes.

I paid $20 for Shivering Isles and that was also fantastic. But did you seriously need a whole other island? There was so much underutilized real estate in GTA IV that you still go to plenty of areas that you don't access in the main game. But whatever, I know it's super cool to hate anything GTA IV related. And any two of those Fallout 3 packs don't add up time-wise to the amount of content you get from any one of the GTA IV packs. Are you seriously telling me that Broken Steel took you ten hours to complete? Maybe if you walked everywhere...

Actually, I wasn't that impressed with Broken Steel but it was still more fun than L&D.
I spent more time in Point Lookout then I spent in both gta4 Episodes put together. That came with a massive area, fun main story, and a few cool side quests.
GTA4 didn't have enough interesting unused real estate to make $20 episodes worth it. Even with San Andreas (which I loved and it was big enough that a couple of episodes would've been cool) I don't think I would've paid $20 for dlc.

Shivering Isles was worth $20 but once again, you get a massive new island with it. That's a value. The gta dlc had all the value of horse armor.

"I spent more time in Point Lookout then I spent in both gta4 Episodes put together." Well, I spent more time playing Gay Tony than you did all the Fallout 3 dlc combined. See what a worthless statement that is? All the value of horse armor? Oh, I get it, you're just trolling. Never mind, troll on.

Not my fault you didn't like the answer.

Trolling what? Do you remember what this was even about?
I want to commend Ubisoft on deciding a fair price for their dlc which is more than what many other companies do.

If you really want, I can show you some trolling worthy of the joystiq name.

After the experience that The Ballad of Gay Tony gave me (no homo), I would not have had any regrets had I paid full price $60 for. Lost & The Damned, not so much, but still very much worth the $20. Give it up.

It pisses me off that Joystiq says stuff like "they could get away with charging us more". How about you play it through and see if it's quality and if it has enough content to justify the $4 price point? Joking or not, comments like that aren't helping the severly price gouged DLC market.

And if this is worth the $4 price point, rather then saying they could charge more, how about we accept this as the bar and the base line that other developers should try and meet? Otherwise we're setting the standards for quality and quantity too low, and that allows for all the overpriced DLC we have today.
