Bad Company 2 loses smooth tunes, keeps hardcore explosions

Bad Company's score was fine. Why does everyone think they need an epic, orchestral score these days?

Why would I manually change it? Game music is supposed to go along with the bloody game! Other music would sound stupid! That's why I wanted the original style tailored to the new story.

I actually agree, the music and comedic parts of Bad Company were what made it fun. 2 still looks good but it doesn't have the same charm the first one did.

You know, nothing about the trailer actually says the surf tunes are out. The first game changed, musically, as you progressed through it. It started with surf tunes and ended with the traditional Battlefield-type scores. Hopefully you'll still find a bit of that good stuff in there.

I, for one, can not wait to pick this beast up!

I hope at least the car radios in multiplayer will still have them

I also endorse the trailer. Looks like they're taking a slightly more serious tone this time, so I'm hoping the humorous dialogue is still in, but still... looks good. Just the few snippets of cinematics and scripted sequences had me thinking this is a definite contender for the crown of "modern warfare" type shooters, in terms of style and tone if nothing else.
