If you've been sitting around, staring at the ceiling and wondering what you're going to do this weekend, you may be interested in the GoG.com weekend deal. It's a bundle of three Cyan Worlds games, all for under $14 -- a 25-percent savings.
You'll get Myst: Masterpiece Edition, Riven: The Sequel to Myst and The Manhole: Masterpiece Edition. All three games recently arrived on the DRM-free service, ready to show you just how out of shape your brain's logic center and not-getting-lost-in-Myst's-maze cortex are. The sale lasts until Monday, January 25 at 11:59PM ET.

I loved Myst and was able to completely solve it without any guides or help, I thought it was a great challenge to figure out everything in that.
But Riven... ugh, Riven. That game was just labyrinthine. Not only did it expect you to be a scholar of mathematics and language to solve a majority of puzzles, but there were just so many things thrown at you at once, you never knew if something was a clue or a prop, if you were finishing a loose end or starting a new one, there was just so much going on at once and that COLORED DOT PUZZLE AT THE END
THAT COLORED DOT PUZZLE
WHICH WORKED OFF CLUES LEFT THROUGH THE ENTIRE GAME AND ASSUMED YOU KEPT TRACK OF ALL OF THEM WITHOUT KNOWING THEIR PURPOSE IN A SEA OF TRINKETS
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
It really speaks of how bleeding vast Riven was when the graphics were all pre-rendered still images and it still weighed in at 2.5 GB in 1997. 5 CDs, oof.

I never beat myst, or any of those games but I did get up to disk 5 in riven, I loved that game so much! I was six years old when it first came out, I would love to see a HD remake.

I have to say that GoG has been a magical place. I first checked it out early last year but never really invested anytime looking at what they had or their sales. This Christmas I found some really good deals. I was able to get fallout 1, 2, and tactics for just 11 bucks. Also was able to get Castles, Castles 2, and Stronghold for 6 or so bucks.
Its kinda special being able to get good deals on games you loved in the past.

Kinda sucks that GoG put Myst Masterpiece Edition on sale and not Real Myst ...

I wish there was a native version of Riven for Mac OS X. I would like to play it again.
