Oh LAwhD! The memories of being freaked out of Aliens as a child, Predator fighting with Terminator, and my everday life as a human collide in so many good ways when I watch this vid. Thanks Joystiq! And thank you Rebellion!

Joystiq, why the negative attitude towards this game? every news post is some other mocking wisecrack or another. The AVP games were great and the new one looks awesome, but I guess you'll be too busy playing Rock Band Green Day to enjoy it.

if you read the article carefully you will notice that they are making fun of the video, not the games.

Emo-core. Its cool to hate life.

That pretty much explains the posts eminating from their parent's basements.

At least the opinions are balancing the overly optimistic IGN ones. I guess you can't get a balanced truthful opinion on a game and still get early access to it. I really hope this one doesn't suck.

I am so jazzed for this game! But I am disappointed that Rebellion completely ignored the VERY beginning of the series - AvP on the Atari Jaguar back in 1994. REBELLION made the stinking game themselves, and it was by far the best game that ever came out on that doomed system. They really should give new players the REAL history of AvP. Bummer that they must feel ashamed of the original version.

I know what you mean, hell AvP was the reason I bought a Jaguar and still is the best game that ever came out even it that wasn't a very hard task to accompish:P

Totally agree on that one!

The game was extreemly hard but still great fun to play, and it was a big step forward in 1st Person gaming at that time...

I really can't tell if this game is going to be really terrible, or really good...

the predator jumping system kind of confuses me with the green circle appearing and then he jumps. is it not the old hold down crouch + space bar for a long jump anymore? do i need to click were i want to jump? - .-?

You hold a button and that green circle appears. You then move that where you want to jump and release the button. Im sure itll be very fluid

It might be very fluid... but right now it looks dumb.

But everything else in the game is looking pretty awesome, so hopefully i'll be able to ignore it.

I have high hopes for this game, but, there haven't been enough gameplay movies released. Just these MTV style vignettes.

Longer gameplay videos....please....

I hope they remake the map Stranded from the original. That was one of my favourite multiplayer levels. Especially fighting wave after wave of aliens from inside the bunker.

New game looks pretty awesome... but watching those 1999 clips shows that, once it's all in motion (and in the dark), many of the spangly new graphical effects are pretty irrelevant.

Or maybe that's just the "youtube" effect....

I don't see the difference between this and the 1999 version. I canceled my pre-order.

They can use any kind of lighting and bloody facial animations they want, but nothing they make will be more intense than A&P played as a marine. I haven't felt so intense terror in a game ever since.

Guaranteed purchase for PC. I read an article that talked about Multi GPU support, DirectX11 and Multi Core support. Steam is also supporting Steam Cloud for all PC settings, Save games and multiplayer options to be saving online so that when you go to another computer "ANYTIME" its all there. Thats simply the bomb. Rebellion once again out did themselves in supporting the PC community. As for all the console users out there, you have to wait for a PS4 or XBOX 720 to see PC gaming power like this. Im not hating, just glad to see a PC company staying true to the roots than some console port. Thank you, Rebellion.

I don't wish to be a pedant, but wasn't the first AVP in 1994 not 1999 on the Atari Jag?
