It did, but Ghoul Patrol just didn't have the same fun to it ZAmN did. Check it out, but it was missing that spark for me.

I'm in the same boat. I did a double take when I read Zombies had a sequel.

"Aha! I Found It!" Hidden Object Game
^This title made me laugh; I guess because it's generic and sounds exactly like Wiiware titles usually do.

So, is Uno online or what? I know the Xbox version doesn't let you play local, for obvious reasons. What gives?

DSiWare somehow seems to be picking up speed; I'm really hoping it gets some really good stuff so my friends stop making jokes about how many alarm clocks and notebooks I can buy : /

Why the frick are they releasing 1 virtual console game every week? Its such bullcrap. They've got so many fraking consoles on the VC now, and all we see is some unknown ghoul game.... typical Nintendo

Well I'm glad I have a Wii because my 360 is in a box right now waiting to be shipped to Texas for repair.

Grow up man.

People must really love Uno for you to get down-voted like that. lol. I do agree though, the WiiWare and DSiware service is lacking heavily. The Wii is still a great system despite that though.

so what you're saying is that Ghoul Patrol is like Ghostbusters without the fun?

No, Ghoul Patrol and its predecessor were all kinds of fun. Man, the SNES was awesome.

I really do wish that these games were playable on the DS. I'd consider ponying up for a DSi if that were the case.

Ghoul Patrol is practically worse than Zombies Ate My Neighbors in nearly every conceivable way. You know how a lot of people complain about how the color in modern games is all a bunch of boring grays and browns? Well, Ghoul Patrol was way ahead of its time because it takes all of the color that was in its predecessor and replaces it with those same grays and browns.

At the same time, the game suffers from over-animation. ZAMN was a very fast-paced game and the minimalist character animation fit in with how quickly everything in the game moved. Ghoul Patrol is like ZAMN run through molasses. It somehow manages to feel way more slippery at the same time, too.

The biggest problem I have with Ghoul Patrol is that it isn't any fun when compared to ZAMN. The B-movie horror setup is completely gone, replaced with a Ghostbusters ripoff that has none of the charm of the original, and the game in general is just boring.

If you're a fan of ZAMN and are thinking of checking Ghoul Patrol out, save your eight dollars for something else.

I'm not sure why people still consider WiiWare or DSiWare as "fail".

I mean, it's obvious that not a solidly awesome game will come out every week, but you can say the same about XBLA and PSN.
But even if they aren't grand games, there are good releases if you actually have an open taste in gaming.

Heck, AiRace: Tunnel is another great time-waster game, and I use my handhelds mostly to waste time while waiting.
Watching Escapee Go! videos actually looked pretty interesting and I'm planning on getting it.
And bittos+ actually looks pretty insane once the game goes faster and faster and faster.

The way that these games were described in this article was humorous (except for Ai:Race), but made them sound rather lacking.
In fact, most DSiWare and WiiWare games are given "PASS" remarks because of the lack of information given (bittos+ was accurate in method, but its experience is a beast in comparison).

...heck, my DSiWare choices are pretty large at this point. They're not "hardcore" games, but they're still darn good.
