Tons of Mass Effect 2 DLC available free right now [update]

Here's the deal: We're not going to be the least bit clever or amusing in this post. 1. It's just past 7 a.m. and Uncle Joystiq got a little ... silly last night and do these lights have to be so bright? and 2. We don't want you to waste a second reading when you could be grabbing all the Mass Effect 2 DLC that's currently on Live. You'll find links after the break.

Is it supposed to be up yet? Will it be free forever? There's no earthly (or spacely, for that matter) way of knowing. But do you really want to be the guy that missed out?

[Update: Okay, it looks like all have been pulled now, except the Collector's Weapons and Armor.]

Not working for me

Nice, some of it looks like the collectors stuff that comes with the preorders from Gamestop and such, but who cares. FREE DLC is FREE. YAY

Inferno is dead, nabbed the rest though.

I got the first two and then I started getting the "Not Available for Online Purchase" message. Looks like they took them off. :\

I'm a little mad at this because I paid for the collectors edition but now it just means that if I ever sell it, which I won't, I can with all dlc included.

Hopefully other people can't use it without the actual Collector's Edition...

There is a rumour going round that it won't work because of having to go through the EA servers.
Still, worth it, just incase it does work.

If it's anything like Dragon Age, then it won't work. Look at the Dragon Age downloadable items and you'll see Stone Prisoner and Dragon Armor available as free downloads. However, they are unusable until you activate it in-game with the 16 (or 20) digit code. At first people were entering the shorter EA item codes into
Xbox Marketplace and were wondering why it didn't take.

Crap, now I can't even download them even though I had them in my queue!

It's awesome, I woke up at 5 am to get to my first day of the semester, and i went to see the ME2 achievements out of boredom. and BAM I found this!! So I sent the tip to joystiq right away and DLed as much as I could :] thanks school!

I got the Collectors' Weapon and Armor but everything else has been pulled.

I got Collector's weapon, but all the others said they weren't available. I suspect they will be free for new purchases with the Cerebus Network.

I got Collectors' Weapon and Armour queued up fine but the rest told me I couldn't queue them up via the web marketplace.

They were pulled about an hour ago.

Yeah this stopped working a long time ago. I woke up just a bit too late for it :(

......but thanks for the heads up anyway. One free piece of DLC is better than no free pieces of DLC.

Too bad, The only thing i wanted was the Terminus armor, and I wasn't about to preorder this from Gamestop. I just hope they offer it as a paid download one day.

All I could get was Collectors/Inferno...which is too bad since I already will get those...I was hoping to nab Terminus

I got collectors. I am sure they will put Terminus for like $5 on DLC. They would be too stupid not to.

Since I already got collectors, I am going to probably sell it, or trade it for Terminus.

I got them all :) these were only up for about 1 hour 20 minutes tops.

My friend phoned me at 2am in the morning to get me to download this stuff cuz he saw a gamefaqs forum post about it.

I got all of them. FYI guys, if you want actual timely (but less quality) news you should use Kotaku.

I don't understand how digital content is so frequently leaked before intended release dates. You'd think there would be some type of label or at least a folder with the digital files that says "don't upload until this date."

Was it ever patched out? I just checked and still have the DLC (from the flub) on my HD - although have long since traded the game and iirc never played it online.

They didn't do anything, as far as I know. Last time I played was a couple of months ago but I still had it.

Yeah, I've still got my "ill-begotten" lancer. So much for the threats.

Microsoft didn't do anything about the Gold Lancer flub.

I thought all day 1 DLC was free anyways? Wont we get all these (except for things like preorder bonuses) once we sign up for the cerberus network?

That would be select future content. Most of these were strictly preorder bonuses.

Damn I wanted the sniper for my infiltrator import.
