Here's the deal: We're not going to be the least bit clever or amusing in this post. 1. It's just past 7 a.m. and Uncle Joystiq got a little ... silly last night and do these lights have to be so bright? and 2. We don't want you to waste a second reading when you could be grabbing all the Mass Effect 2 DLC that's currently on Live. You'll find links after the break.
Is it supposed to be up yet? Will it be free forever? There's no earthly (or spacely, for that matter) way of knowing. But do you really want to be the guy that missed out?
[Update: Okay, it looks like all have been pulled now, except the Collector's Weapons and Armor.]
[Thanks, Ryan Gan]

Classes don't really carry over to ME2, you can change your class at the start of the game I think.

a) False, b) no Justin, and c) CheapAssGamer had it before everyone.

I don't get A and B, and I don't follow CAG because its site is a total eyesore
I got it thanks to Kotaku though, and they usually do have stories up much faster than Kotaku. Their articles are complete shit, but it helps for stuff like this.

So you go to a self proclaimed shitty site for the off chance that twice, ever, MS will release free content that shouldn't be free? Way to live!
And again, they have no Justin. They could tell me about all the free shit they choose (though even the ever so terrible IGN had it up before them) and it wouldn't be worth the click.

Just tried to get the Collector's Armor and got the "not available for purchase" message.

I was up late and happened to check out IGN where they had posted an article about this and was able to download everything. Guess it pays to stay up til 3am playing MW2.

Maybe their making it free for all the people who downloaded it last week

As much as I would have like to have gotten these free DLC I don't it. I am still playing through the first Mass Effect and judging my play time I doubt I will be playing the second one any time soon.

Hopefully these are all available again tomorrow. Although some people would take it as a slap in the face if the "exclusive" content that they were hoping to receive as part of their pre-order was made available to everyone for free, I certainly wouldn't.
Originally had an Amazon pre-order, but Gamestop had a killer trade 3 get ME2, so ended up doing that instead, despite preferring the Inferno armor (aka Ironman suit) to the Gamestop exclusives.

I pre-ordered a PC CE from Best Buy since Gamestop ran out. I'll just torrent Gamestop's bonuses just to try them out and delete them, like the DA:O DLC, just try it out, especially that amulet that's only available to those that bought a stupid T-shirt from Hot Topic, ugh.

Look at all that DLC. You can tell EA's involved!

Nice, Microsoft. Yet another screw up where people who DIDN'T pay for items get them for free.

most of these are free anyway, they're just not supposed to be up this early.

Supposed to be free if you buy the game new. Now they'll probably be able to use them without a Cerberus code.

Oh, I thought they were free regardless.
Oh well, the only ones I have now that I wasn't going to have anyway are Terminus (gamestop can get bent), Collector's (not worth 10 dollars) and Badgame: Origins which looks really stupid anyway judging by the marketplace pic.
I like the Sentry Interface, though, it reminds me of the wacky LaForge-esque stuff from the KOTOR games.

They're called "Slowtaku" for a reason.

So what reason is that? If you mean slow as in mentally, yes, I agree. For a while all the links were borked with a kotaku URL in front of them you had to delete from the address bar to get to the stuff.

Checking through my 360, I can't see any of the DLC, but going through Xbox.com Marketplace on Joystiq's links I can see all of it. Problem is I have a child account so it won't let me download from Xbox.com Marketplace. (Thanks ass holes...)

Isn't there supposed to be a bunch of free stuff available on the 26th anyway? So, maybe this stuff was just listed a day early?

First Dragon Age and now ME2?
XBL is really, really wanting BioWare to make their next release a PS3 exclusive, aren't they?

To those who did get the now unavailable dlc for free kudos and I tip my hat to you. Everyone else, well, like me, you probably are shaking a fist at microsoft and being angry that they took down the dlc before you could get it..

I wish I got those in time. After looking all over the place for the collectors edition and most online outlets out of stock I bit the bullet and grabbed on from walmart.com. Not exactly my preferred place to order but it was either that or pay $150 for one of them on amazon.com from someone wanting to make an extra buck out of the situation.

Doesn't look like we can get the CE stuff anymore either. Oh well.

Nope, it doesn't appear in Live. I'm looking now.

Well, I got up at a pretty decent time this morning, but it was still far too late here in stupid New Zealand for me to get ANY of the DLC. The Collector's pack of DLC has also been pulled. Well, at least for me. Now if only they could do this for Assassin's Creed II AND give me time to get it, I'd be happy. It's not like I can afford Mass Effect 2 right now anyway.
