Just as expected, today marks the release of two new Games on Demand titles: Dead Rising and Halo Wars. Major Nelson reports each is currently available for download on your Xbox 360, with Capcom's virtual mall full of zombies setting gamers back a paltry $20, while Ensemble Studios' final game is a bit more costly at $30. Each will take up six gigglebytes of room on your HDD upon download.

Oh, man, these games are so sick. Maybe I should get Dead Rising; I've only ever used my friend's copy and do kinda want a copy of my own.

That's reasonable for Dead Rising.

I dont really understand the point of games on demand because you can walk into a local Gamestop and pick up dead rising for 9 bucks and halo wars for 19.00.

I don't know which Gamestop you shop at but those are the U.S. prices on the website. The cheap prices on Google are probably from eBay.

There is also Goozex, other game trading sites, craiglist, ebay, and old fashioned borrow it from a friend. What really irks me is the limited hard drive space on the Xbox 360. What kind of messed up business model combines small hard drives with large downloadable files?

A business model that understands supply and demand, and allows the consumer to decide how much they really want to pay for?

Well, not having to pop a disc inside to play is a nice bonus.

I would SO play the game in that picture. Of course, it'd be a MUCH shorter game if Master Chief took Frank West's place.
