I love Nolan North as much as the next man, but seriously? Again?

To be fair, it's not Nolan's fault, as he can do a million different voices, most of which are completely unrecognizable, yet game developers seem to love giving their main character Nolan's normal speaking voice. Maybe all the recent backlash from gamers complaining about NATHAN DRAKE (even an all-business one) being in every game will get developers to reevaluate the industry's current uninspired voice casting process. Just because gamers love Nathan Drake doesn't mean they want a decidedly all-business Nathan Drake in your decidedly not-Uncharted game.

This fall, experience true realism as the completely totally average and normal guy that also happens to have muscles the size of a house and expert accuracy. Stubble on the head, stubble on the face, all brown hair, all brown eyes, voice of Nathan Drake.

Experience... The Most Boring Game Ever Made.

October 2010.

Yeah, I was thinking as I read this and looked at the pictures that it would be nice to get some bitchin' FPSes with a lot of bright colors like in "J C's Avatar" or something...

This game sounds pretty cool though! Here's hoping the final product is as good

Sounds pretty cool. Wasn't really paying much attention to this until now. Definetly one to see how it progresses over the coming months.

Nolan North should just record everything he says, give it to all the devs, and demand royalties.

It's exciting to see that the setting isn't just a backdrop, but is very involved with the challenges that the player will have to overcome. It will be worth all of the brown if they have scenarios that capitalize on these new mechanics they keep referring to.

I'm happy this game is looking promising! I believed in it from the first time I saw it previewed at the GT Video Game Awards. I just hope it doesn't disappoint when it comes out!

looks pretty cool. idea of sand as a weapon is sick. and who cares if the whole game is brown? isn't that kind of the idea with all the sand?

also, i think the industry is guna burn out our love for Nolan North if they keep giving him this much work.

that is all

Sounds cool, I'll keep an eye on it for now. I also fear it will just be a generic army douche third person shooter.

Good stuff. Looking forward to it. And seriously, Nolan, you need to stop with the voice acting for a while. Alpha Protocol, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, ODST, Prince of Persia, Halo Wars, Lost Planet, Unreal Tournament, Call of Duty, God of War. It's getting a little ridiculous now. Take a break for a little while man. I'm sure you have enough money to do it at this point if you've been smart about your contracting.

Awesome impression Joystiq, now I'm looking forward to it even more.

I hope a demo will be released before the game comes out.

The games looks awesome; I love the setting.

However, Spec Ops: The Line? That's a terrible name. It's overly generic. The colon reminds me of Legendary: The Box. They were wise to drop the second part and I would recommend the same to SO:TL, but then I realize the game would be called Spec Ops, which is just as generic. New name plox kthxbai.

@CH3BURASHKA

You DO realize that this is a part of an already existent series called "spec ops"...right?

Keeping my interest peaked in the game. Definitely looking forward to it and it is one of my few basically guaranteed purchases of upcoming games (joining 3D Dot Game Heroes, Lost Planet 2, and Dead Space 2).
