if there is no lag, and host has a phenominal connection then the game works very well.
however in 50% of cases, the lag really hurts gameplay.
The solution is dedicated servers. And I wont play Gears3 online unless it has em.

Another reminder that I still need to finish Gears 2 one of these days. I got it when it came out, played a few levels with a friend...and then totally forgot to play through the rest of it. With a coop buddy its definitely more fun (thats what I found with GOW1 at least).

If you are going to play anything in Gears 2 make it Horde mode. Thats the jump off right there. Everything else can die and go to hell in that game.

Well, anything other than the campaign, yeah Horde mode. The campaign is, well, EPIC. Seriously its really fun. IMO.
If they would just fix the shotty and the speed of the MP. They've done a ton of great things with it as it is now though. Too bad it didn't ship that way...

I knew you would. lol. Damn shame the demo they dropped suuuuucked (on ps3 anyway) so I won't be getting it even if they have Snake and Raiden as characters.
