It's uncertain just when those plans will come to fruition, but it counts as good news for people who don't want to lay out the cash for the limited edition box set ... or those who would prefer not to have a screaming visage of demonic horror on their mantles.
God of War Collection to release separately in Europe [update]

Since it hasn't been released there, we had assumed that the only shot our friends in the UK [Update: We've been told by SCEE that this is coming to all of Europe!] would have at the God of War Collection would be contained inside the monstrous "Ultimate Trilogy Edition." However, VG247 has relayed a quote from Sony, stating that "there are plans to release the GOW Collection separately" after all.

I hope GOW3 is really long. I had never played GOW before the collection was released. There surprisingly short. I don't know, 60 bucks seems like a lot for a five hr blu-ray game. Either way I lose 60 bucks LOL

Not both but each yes I did on normal difficulty. 3 hrs and 46 minutes for GOW and 5 hrs and 23 minutes for GOW 2. Sorry if that's hard to believe. I got platinum on GOW and am working on platinum for GOW 2 but I'm currently snubbing it because it has a glitched trophy (boss batch 3) LOL. I'll be back on it probably by tomorrow.

I found this hard to believe as well, what I think you did was playing the second or third time on GoW 1 with the dairy bastard costume (which has unlimited magic) to beat in 3 and 1/2 hours, but getting this time on your first play through I just don't believe. For GoW 2 you probably use another special costume like Cod of War for example.
From what got in your comment is that you don't play games for the story or how awesome they were, you probably going for trophies only and my guess you're one those gamers that multiplayer should be on every game, am I right?

I do believe that. Online stuff is awesome, I can't get enough of MMO's. Imagine how cool GOW online would be! I do trophy hunt like crazy but never the first time through, I try not to even look at the trophies because I just want to enjoy the game. I don't like using alternate outfits in games if the outfit doesn't stay the same in the cutscene, bugs me. I wish I could prove that the times are legit but not like it matters :(

I didn't meant to offend you, what I was trying to say is that's not fair to say the game is short after we know how to solve their puzzles and have unlimited power to playthrough. One example I'll give is Resident Evil 5, by now we all have unlimited ammo for all guns including the RPG, so I don't think it's fair to say RE5 was short because of that, first we gotta earn the unlimited guns and stuff by beating the game at least once with good scores, and second using those said guns is totally optional, you can get a lot more from a game if we don't use them, the same can be said for GoW games and many others like Uncharted.

I completely understand what your saying. I had never played GOW though, I got the game because there's so much hype behind it and it sold me. I'm definitely getting GOW 3. Smart move Santa Monica for having this re released. I can't explain why it didn't take me super long (if it included all my deaths then there'd be at LEAST an extra hour of time it took).
Naughty Dog should follow this and re release Jak and Daxter if they continue that franchise. I would love to replay those in HD.

They don't, you're right. They are masterpieces the way they are. 2 and 3 in particular.

I want this game seperate in Aus. I don't need a copy of 3 because my neighbour will have it so I can steal whenever. He still has a ps2 but with the two original so he won't buy this.
