'Splosion Man 'splores $5 price point next week

Twisted Pixel's highly combustible Xbox Live Arcade platformer and object of Joystiq adoration, 'Splosion Man, will headline the upcoming Marketplace schedule (as relayed by Major Nelson) with a temporary 50-percent price reduction. After dropping to 400

($5) for the week of February 1, 'Splosion Man should prove more challenging to blow off than up.

Other highlights include Chime, February 3's non-profit Xbox Live Arcade release from Zoe Mode and OneBigGame, the Halo 3 Mythic 2 Map Pack, and the first part of Assassin's Creed 2 downloadable content, "Battle of Forli." Expect a Joystiq review on that closer to its January 28 launch.

Totally understandable, I don't think the shelf life on XBLA games is very long, so probably it'll go bad by the time you're done with ME2. Best to buy a fresh copy for $10 when you have time to play it. ;)

same here, but this is too good a deal to pass up, so i'll buy it and let it collect dust on my HD until i've done with my umpteenth playthrough of ME2

Considering you leave a minimum of 10 comments on every single post on Joystiq, I don't believe for even a second you're playing ME2 non-stop. Actually I doubt you've been away from Joystiq long enough to put in more than 3hrs on the game, and certainly not consecutive.

If posts start appearing without any Bardwart comments, THEN we'll know you're truly hooked on a game. ;)

Damn these deals of the week. They keep me from buying almost any game on XBLM at full price because I'm afraid it'll go on sale, but at the same time they compel me to buy the sale game because I don't want to miss out on a deal! Agh, the curse of miserliness.

I'm still on the fence about buying Portal this week, even though I've already got the Orange Box.

This game is awesome. I just picked it up a couple of weeks ago at full price, but I'm not even mad because it's definitely worth what I paid. Glad to see it go down so that more people will finally give it a go.

I hear the AC2 DLC has no cheevos tied to it....

If I could pay cash instead of having to buy $20 worth of Microsoft's confederate money I'd be all over this.

When I first got my 360 I got Shadow Complex and this because they were suppose to be the pick of the arcade lineup. Shadow Complex was the shit but this just didn't do it for me. It was so damn repetitive, I really just didn't have fun playing this game. Sigh, I know everyone else loves it, I'll give it another try in a few months.

Sweet! All the puzzle pieces are finally falling into place... got Shadow Complex, Castle Crashers, Magic and soon Splosion Man.. all on sale. Now if MS will just have a deal of the week on Trials HD my collection will be complete! MS has really been kicking a$$ with the sales. I'd plant a big fat slopp kiss on Major Nelson if he was in front of me right now!

Yeah tried the demo for this, and didn't really dig it. Am I missing something?
