Nine out of ten film experts agree that Zombieland was the best movie to come out last year, and expect it to make a strong showing at the Academy Awards. It should already be a no-brainer that you're going to purchase the film when it's released next Tuesday, Feb. 2 -- however, the Blu-ray version of Zombieland includes an unadvertised bonus that might influence you to drop the extra cash for the HD iteration.
According to High Def Digest, if you pop the Zombieland Blu-ray into your PS3, you'll have the option to download a dynamic theme based on the film through the XMB's Game tab. The theme turns the browser's icons red, and changes the background into a rotating gallery of promotional art for the movie. It sounds like a really neat feature -- one that might influence us to purchase more Blu-rays should it become more popular.

That really is a good movie, and I will definitely buy the Blu-Ray. But damn, I just have to upgrade my audio system, I have to!

Zombieland was a good movie ... NOT great, just good. it had its funny moments, but I would not consider this film worth adding to my movie collection. I might rent it for the theme... but to hell with buying it.

I'm wondering that same thing too, even though I don't rent movies.

The movie was hilarious. I'm also glad to see people putting even more into their blu ray discs. I'm possitive I'm picking this one up

Purchase? Rent is more like it.

This is a pretty sweet idea. When you add a digital copy & a theme, the few extra dollars for a Blu Ray copy doesn't seem bad.

I love Zombieland and was definitely gonna rent the Blu-ray from Netflix the day it is released. Now I might also get a free theme out of it :)

way to spoil it for others :( I think this cameo was one of the best surprise cameos ever. I remember watching it in theaters, and the build up was soooo great to it. the audience erupted in laughter at when it was revealed.

The Ghostbusters Blu-Ray had a PS3 theme too.

Doesn't seem to be a dynamic theme, just a regular theme, unless I'm missing something. But the name shown in Themes is just "Zombieland Theme", and I'm not seeing anything that moves or makes sounds.

You know what's influenced me to buy more Blu-rays? The awesome HD picture and sound. Stuff like this is really cool to see as a nice bonus- but I don't buy anything on DVD anymore, anyway. What's the point in saving a few bucks now when you know you'll just be replacing the DVD you're buying with a BD in the next few years?
